Realistic Generators

Most power mods hand you a block that makes energy. Realistic Generators hands you a process — fuel → heat → steam → rotation → electricity. Build it well and it hums. Build it wrong and it tells you why.

Initial release — Realistic Generators v1.1.0 (Minecraft 1.21.1, NeoForge).

Realistic steam power generation, built to drop into big modpacks and interoperate with everything else.

  • Steam power chain — boiler → turbine → battery, all variable-size multiblocks. Outputs Forge Energy (FE/RF), so any mod's cables and machines can pull from it.
  • Real fuels — burns liquid fuels from any mod plus solid furnace fuels; burn values driven by a player-editable config.
  • Thermodynamics that matter — Carnot efficiency, condensers (closed-loop water recovery + an efficiency boost), thermal warm-up/cool-down, and genuine efficiency losses. Match your plant to run near peak.
  • It breaks if you're careless — over-pressure ruptures/BLEVEs, dry-firing, vessel breaches, and battery meltdowns. Relief valves and live gauges keep you safe.
  • Readable at a glance — SCADA-style controller dashboards, in-world gauges on the machine face, optional Jade tooltips, and an in-game Patchouli guidebook.
  • No hard dependencies — runs standalone or alongside Mekanism, Powah, etc. via tags + capabilities.

Note: No custom sounds yet (vanilla placeholders for now) — coming in a future update.
