Real Farming is actively being built and tested by one person. I work through issues as they appear before each upload, but bugs can still slip through. Please use the comments to report anything you find—feedback helps make the mod better.

Real Farming makes growing food feel more grounded, rewarding, and connected to the world around you.

This mod is made to work well with Serene Seasons. But NOT required to function.

Many crops are useful the moment you harvest them: eat fresh vegetables for a small hunger refill, feed your animals, mill grain into flour, or turn your harvest into better meals.

✨ What Makes Real Farming Different?

Real Farming is not just a larger crop list. It is built around the idea that every part of a farm should connect.

🐄 Animals create manure.
♻️ Manure and compost improve your fields.
🌿 Pasture grass gives livestock a place to graze.
🪣 Food and water troughs create cared-for Animal Yards.
❤️ Healthy animals reward steady care—not a single feeding interaction.
⚙️ Windmills power mills, mills turn grain into flour, and flour becomes food.

The goal is a farm that grows naturally with your world instead of feeling like a collection of disconnected machines.

🥕 Crops & Food

• 🌎 Discover wild cabbage, onions, lettuce, turnips, tomatoes, corn, and sweet corn while exploring.

• 🌾 Grow barley, rye, oats, flax, corn, and wheat.

• 🌽 Tend multi-stage crops, including tall two-block corn stalks.

• 🍅 Pick tomatoes multiple times before replanting.

• 🍎 Eat fresh vegetables for a small hunger refill.

• 🥣 Mill wheat, rye, and barley into flour, and corn into cornmeal.

• 🍞 Cook cornbread, oatcakes, porridge, soups, salad, beef stew, vegetable soup, and more.

🌱 Soil, Compost & Manure

• 🔱 Collect manure with wooden, copper, or iron Manure Forks.

• 🪵 Store manure in Manure Bins.

• ♻️ Build Compost Bins to turn organic material into compost.

• 🌾 Fertilize farmland with manure or compost to support crop growth and improve harvests.

• 🎒 Use fertilizer bags to care for larger fields.

• 🧺 Use hay, straw, bales, seed bags, and harvest baskets as part of daily farm work.

🐄 Pastures & Animal Care

• 🌿 Plant pasture grass to turn farmland into reusable pasture soil.

• ✂️ Harvest pasture grass without destroying the soil beneath it—it can regrow on its own or be tilled using a hoe.

• 🏡 Create connected Animal Yards for cows and sheep using the Manure Fork.

• 🌾 Food Troughs accept hay and hay bales.

• 💧 Water Troughs accept wooden or vanilla water buckets and refill in the rain.

• ✅ One supplied food trough and water trough can care for an entire connected Animal Yard.

• ❤️ Animals gradually earn Healthy (Well Cared For) status while living in a supplied yard. Pastured sheep fertilize the pasture and eat it's grass.

• 🥩 Well-cared-for cows and sheep receive improved meat and animal-product rewards.

• 🔍 Look at livestock to see whether its status is Normal or Healthy (Well Cared For).

• Animals now have new lure items, oats for horse, hay for cow and sheep, any mods veggies for pigs and corn for chickens(Feeding/breeding currently only works for cows in 1.0.1)

⚙️ Farm Machinery

• 🪨 Build working mills with grain input and milled-grain storage.

• 🌬️ Power mills with windmills, shafts, and gearboxes.

• 🔩 Use simple mechanical power with no complicated gear ratios or speed controls.

• 🥣 Process grain into useful flour and cornmeal for cooking.

• 📜 Enjoy rustic parchment-and-wood interfaces across farm machinery.
