RE: Proyect

RE: Proyect is a mod that aims to bring content inspired by Resident Evil into Minecraft. The project is still under development, and I will gradually expand it with new enemies, bosses, items, and mechanics. My goal is to follow the order of the series as closely as possible, grouping content by game so that each major update focuses on a particular Resident Evil title.

RE: Proyect — Current Content

I am gradually bringing my favorite Resident Evil creatures and survival items into Minecraft. I am starting with the original trilogy and will add more content in future updates. Everything in the future plans section is still in development.

1. Implemented Enemies

So far, I have added three types of enemies. Some appear at night, while others become available as you progress through invasions.

Zombie (T)

Texture variants:

Zombie (T) — Police

Zombie (T) — Police

Zombie (T) — Patient

Zombie (T) — Patient

Zombie (T) — Exposed Flesh

Zombie (T) — Exposed Flesh

Zombie (T) — Shirt

Zombie (T) — Shirt

Zombie (T) — Lab Coat

Zombie (T) — Lab Coat

StatisticValue
Health24 HP (12 hearts)
Melee damage4 HP
First appearanceFrom the first night; no invasion required
VariantsLab coat, shirt, exposed flesh, patient, police officer

I use the vanilla Minecraft zombie as the base for Zombie (T), but I gave it five new textures and different combat stats. These are all looks for the same enemy, not five separate mobs. They also work with Fresh Animations when EMF/ETF is installed.

They appear at night, become more common during invasions, and can attack from a distance by spitting acid.

NE-Alpha Parasitized Zombie

NE-Alpha parasite and infected host

StatisticValue
Health36 HP (18 hearts)
Melee damage4 HP
Parasite attack6 HP in a short area
First appearanceNormally after Nemesis first appears in an invasion (invasion 3 by default)
Other abilitiesInherits the Zombie (T) acid attack

I added the NE-Alpha parasite to make some zombies even more dangerous. The parasite moves on its own and can attack players nearby.

Nemesis can summon them during a fight. After Nemesis first appears in an invasion, these infected zombies can also start appearing naturally.

Hunter α

Hunter Alpha

StatisticValue
Health24 HP (12 hearts)
Knockback resistance0.75
Fast attack8 HP
Jump attack15 HP
First appearanceInvasion 1; naturally at night thereafter

I wanted Hunter α to be fast and unpredictable. It can slash at players, leap into an attack, and dodge to avoid getting hit.

While dodging, it briefly becomes immune to damage. I also gave it its own attack and death sounds.

2. Implemented Bosses

I have added three bosses so far. Each has its own fighting style, health bar, and death animation. Defeating one can reward you with a chest of loot.

Tyrant T-002

Tyrant T-002 — first and second phases

StatisticValue
Health250 HP (125 hearts)
First invasion1 (default unlock)
Phase 1 attack5 HP
Phase 2 charge attack10 HP

I gave T-002 two phases. At first it fights with close-range attacks, but after transforming it becomes much more aggressive.

In its second phase, it can charge at players. I also added music for both phases and a heartbeat sound to make the fight more intense.

Mr. X (T-102)

Mr. X / T-102

StatisticValue
Health350 HP (175 hearts)
First invasion2 (default unlock)
Light punch4 HP
Medium punch10 HP
Heavy punch15 HP
PhasesOne

I made Mr. X a relentless pursuer that uses several powerful punches to fight players.

He can break through some walls if they get in his way. He also has his own music and footsteps.

Nemesis

Nemesis — phases, rocket launcher and mutations

StatisticValue
Health400 HP (200 hearts)
First invasion3 (default unlock)
Base melee damage15 HP; charge hits can be stronger

Nemesis is the boss I have spent the most time on so far. He chases his target, attacks with his fists and tentacle, fires rockets, and can summon NE-Alpha zombies.

He can also destroy obstacles and dig his way toward players when the world settings allow it. I added a second phase, custom music, and voice sounds.

3. Herbs and Medicine

I added four types of herbs, nine mixtures, and special soil for growing herbs. You can find herbs in the world, grow them, or use them as decoration.

IconHerbEffect
Green HerbGreen HerbRestores 4 HP.
Red HerbRed HerbCannot be consumed alone; used in mixtures.
Blue HerbBlue HerbCures poison.
Yellow HerbYellow HerbPermanently adds one heart of maximum health, up to the configured limit (5 extra hearts by default).

You can also combine herbs into these mixtures:

IconMixtureEffect
Green + GreenGreen + GreenRestores 10 HP.
Green + BlueGreen + BlueRestores 4 HP and cures poison.
Green + RedGreen + RedRestores 20 HP.
Green + YellowGreen + YellowRestores 4 HP and grants one extra heart.
Green + Green + GreenGreen + Green + GreenRestores 20 HP.
Green + Red + BlueGreen + Red + BlueRestores 20 HP and cures poison.
Green + Green + BlueGreen + Green + BlueRestores 10 HP and cures poison.
Green + Green + YellowGreen + Green + YellowRestores 10 HP and grants one extra heart.
Green + Blue + YellowGreen + Blue + YellowRestores 4 HP, cures poison and grants one extra heart.
Green + Red + YellowGreen + Red + YellowRestores 20 HP and grants one extra heart.

Herbs and mixtures also have their own Creative Mode tab. Vaccines and syringes are not in the mod yet, but I may add them later.

4. How Invasions Work

I added nighttime invasions to make survival more challenging. By default, one happens every 10 nights, and new enemies and bosses become available as the world progresses.

  • Players receive a warning when an invasion begins and when a boss appears.
  • More Zombie (T) enemies appear, and Hunters join the invasions from the beginning.
  • Bosses arrive during the invasion, and players cannot sleep until the event is over.
  • New bosses unlock as you complete more invasions.
  • In multiplayer, bosses can chase different players.
  • Defeated bosses can leave a chest with random rewards.
Invasion numberBoss progressionConfigured boss count
1Tyrant T-002 unlocks1
2Mr. X (T-102) unlocks1
3–4Nemesis unlocks at invasion 31
5–9Previously unlocked bosses2
10–19Previously unlocked bosses3
20+Previously unlocked bosses4

The boss counts above are the configured targets. I have three different bosses implemented for now, so actual encounters also depend on which bosses are available and the invasion selection rules.

Rewards include useful materials, equipment, enchanted books, and healing herbs. You can customize invasions and enemy spawns in the mod settings.

5. Future Plans

First, I want to finish adding the content I have planned from the original Resident Evil trilogy. My plan is to do it in three themed updates:

Planned updateContent I want to add
Resident Evil 1 — Complete ContentLisa Trevor, Yawn, Giant, Plant 42, Black Tiger, Neptune, Crimson Heads, Cerberus, Crows.
Resident Evil 2 — Complete ContentWilliam Birkin (G1, G2, G3, G4, G5), Mr. X (Super Tyrant), Lickers, Giant Moth, Giant Alligator, Evolved Licker, Ivy, G-Creatures, Small Spiders, and possibly Hunter R (uncertain, since it only appears as a corpse in the Nintendo 64 version).
Resident Evil 3 — Complete ContentOriginal Nemesis mutations; remake Nemesis mutations; Nemesis weapon variants (rocket launcher and flamethrower); Grave Digger; Hunters Beta and Gamma; Drain Deimos; Pale Heads.

I also want to add custom structures, special items, armor, grenades, and a few melee or simple ranged weapons. I do not plan to make a full gun system, since there are already plenty of Minecraft gun mods that work well for that.

Once those updates are done, I would like to bring in content from the later Resident Evil games too.

Commands / Configuration

I also included some commands for testing enemies, bosses, and invasions. These require operator permissions.

CommandWhat it does
/reproject summon zombie_tSummons a random Zombie (T) variant.
/reproject summon zombie_t bataLab-coat variant.

RE: Proyect — Contenido actual

1. Enemigos implementados

Zombie (T)

Variantes de textura:

Zombie (T) — Policía

Zombie (T) — Policía

Zombie (T) — Paciente

Zombie (T) — Paciente

Zombie (T) — Descarnado

Zombie (T) — Descarnado

Zombie (T) — Camisa

Zombie (T) — Camisa

Zombie (T) — Bata

Zombie (T) — Bata

EstadísticaValor
Vida24 HP (12 corazones)
Daño cuerpo a cuerpo4 HP

Zombi parasitado NE-Alpha

Parásito NE-Alpha y huésped infectado

EstadísticaValor
Vida36 HP (18 corazones)
Daño cuerpo a cuerpo4 HP

2. Jefes implementados

Por ahora he añadido tres jefes.

Tyrant T-002

Tyrant T-002 — primera y segunda fase

EstadísticaValor
Vida250 HP (125 corazones)
Primera invasión1 (desbloqueo predeterminado)

Nemesis

Nemesis — fases, lanzacohetes y mutaciones

EstadísticaValor
Vida400 HP (200 corazones)
Primera invasión3 (desbloqueo predeterminado)

IconoMezclaEfecto
Verde + VerdeVerde + VerdeRecupera 10 HP.
Verde + AzulVerde + AzulRecupera 4 HP y cura el veneno.
Verde + RojaVerde + RojaRecupera 20 HP.
Verde + AmarillaVerde + AmarillaRecupera 4 HP y añade un corazón adicional.
Verde + Verde + VerdeVerde + Verde + VerdeRecupera 20 HP.

Resident Evil 1 — Contenido completoLisa Trevor, Yawn, Giant, Plant 42, Black Tiger, Neptune, Crimson Heads, Cerberus y Crows.
