What's new

Added

  • A beginner quest guide. It follows up to three tracks of FTB Quests chapters and finds, for each, the first quest the player can do right now. By default: Cobblemon (the whole Cobblemon group in book order, from Getting Started and its AllTheMons quest, through Evolution, to Legendaries), New Beginning, and the Tech group from Create to EnderIO. Quests that belong to a chain come first, from its root; isolated collection grids come last, so a newcomer is not sent to catch one Pokemon of each type before learning to heal one.
  • A panel shows one quest at a time, the one of the track the player follows: the track, the chapter and its progress, the quest, its remaining tasks written as actions, each with its icon, and the rewards. A task reads as what to do: Craft Crafting Table, Get Trainer Card, Defeat 3x Zombie, Find, Go to. Craft only when JEI knows a recipe for the item, Get otherwise; a title written by the quest author is kept as it is. A quest whose action says nothing on its own can carry a hint written by staff, shown under its title: the default file carries one for AllTheMons, whose starter key sits in the fifth paragraph of its description. It sits at the bottom of the right edge by default, below the minimap of the modpack, and can move to the middle or the top.
  • A detail screen, on Y or /quetes, with one tab per track: the whole quest description, scrolling when long, every task with its icon, the rewards, and four actions. Follow puts that quest in the panel. Recipe opens JEI on the recipes that make the missing item, and is only offered when an item task asks for something that has a real recipe; clicking such a task shows the recipe of that task. Book opens FTB Quests on the quest. Line lets the player replace the line of the track.
  • Quest lines can be chosen. Line lists the chapters offered for the track, grouped as in the book with their progress: Create can be swapped for Draconic Evolution or Applied Energistics 2. A chapter of the suggested path resumes the path from there; any other chapter is followed alone and the player picks what comes next when it is done. When a line is finished, as New Beginning is by design, the panel says so and the screen opens straight on the list. Suggested path goes back to the default. Choices are kept by the server, per player, in recraftcore-data/questguide.json.
  • Rewards of followed quests are claimed as soon as the quest is done. The book leaves rewards to claim by hand, which is exactly what a newcomer does not know how to do. Only what the player follows in the guide is concerned, and rewards that ask for a choice stay in the book. A quest finished by a teammate while the player was away is caught up at login.
  • /quetes on, /quetes off and /quetes position haut|milieu|bas; the choices are kept between sessions. The first time the panel appears, a chat line gives the key and reminds that every quest is in the book at the top left of the inventory, with /ftbquests open_book clickable.
  • config/recraftcore/questguide.json defines the tracks: chapters by file name, a chapter group by id or title, the groups offered as other lines, per-quest hints, and the auto-claim switch. It is sent to players at login and again after /recraftcore reload.

Upgrade notes

  • The network protocol goes from 1 to 2: the guide adds two payloads. A client and a server on different versions are refused at connection with a clear message.
  • JEI is an optional companion: without it, the recipe buttons stay disabled and nothing else changes.

Removed

  • The cosmetic system moved to Rebox. Skins, emotes, auras, bought titles, their screens, models, animations and particles now live in the Rebox mod, which already opens the crates that hand them out. The jar goes from about 2.75 MB to 1.13 MB. The /skin and /titre commands move with them, unchanged for players. The admin branches /recraftcore skin and /recraftcore title are gone: their replacements are /rebox skin box|give|reset|random and /rebox title grant|list|revoke, with the same arguments.

Changed

  • The language screen offers its three choices side by side. Each setting used to turn one step per click, so reaching English from French went through every state in between, and on the items row every step reloaded the resources. Each row now shows French, English and Game language as buttons, the active one underlined in green, and one click sets the one you want. A reload only happens when the choice actually turns the overlay on or off, and the footer says so before the click. The screen is also translated when the mod interface is set to English.
  • The titles aisle of the shop page is no longer grouped by family and no longer previews the suffix, and the profile line for owned cosmetics no longer shows a count. All three read a catalogue that now belongs to another mod; the line still opens /skin.
  • The emote wheel (B) and cosmetic emote (V) keys now belong to Rebox, under their own category.

Upgrade notes

  • Ship this version together with the Rebox build that takes the cosmetics in. Seventeen payloads left this mod for that one, so a mismatched pair refuses to connect or loses its cosmetics.
  • The website shop must change its delivery commands: /recraftcore skin box becomes /rebox skin box and /recraftcore title grant becomes /rebox title grant.
  • Player data is not moved. recraftcore-data/skins, recraftcore-data/titles.json and the two cosmetic config files stay where they are; Rebox copies them on first start and never overwrites what it already has.

Fixed

  • An empty translation no longer blanks the text. An entry present but empty was returned as a translation, so the game asked for it, got nothing, and drew nothing: whole screens went blank after /itemlang fr instead of being translated. The bundled overlay carries 249 such entries and mods ship their own, 152 in Cobblemon alone. They are now dropped when the overlay is read, when the French of the mods is taken in, and refused again at lookup; a key without a usable translation keeps the original text.
  • The bundled French overlay is replaced. The file shipped in lang_overlay was still the one from September 4, with 22,881 keys. The new one has 34,314: it carries 469 format specifier repairs (%d rewritten as %s) that stop tooltips from printing a raw %d instead of a number, and 10,773 entries taken from mods the old loader used to lose.
  • One language file could hide another. listResources returns a single resource per identifier, the winning pack, and several jars ship a lang/fr_fr.json inside another mod namespace. A 756 key copy from mega_showdown was masking Cobblemon 9214 key file, so no Pokemon name, move name, move description or battle message was ever translated, with nothing in the log to say so. The full stack is now read with getResourceStack, merged from the lowest priority pack to the highest.
  • A repeated key no longer drops the whole file. Gson is strict and throws on a duplicate; Minecraft is tolerant and keeps the last value, so nine mods including JEI shipped files that work perfectly in a French client and were silently ignored here. Parsing is now streamed with the same rule as the game, a byte order mark is stripped explicitly rather than relying on the parser, and a value that is not a string is skipped on its own instead of costing the thousand lines around it.

Corrige
