ProjectMemory
Pick up where you left off. ProjectMemory is an initial alpha, client-side journal for Minecraft Java worlds and servers. Keep a build or long-running project together with its next tasks, saved coordinates, notes, screenshot references and last session handoff.
Features
- Create, search and organize projects by status.
- Track tasks with low, normal or high priority.
- Save labeled coordinates and dimensions; toggle distance and bearing markers.
- Keep notes and pin a project to a small in-game HUD.
- Save a quick handoff note and see a welcome-back recap next session.
- Attach a local copy of your latest F2 screenshot.
- Export and import journal JSON for manual transfer.
Installation
Choose the file for your Minecraft version: 1.21.11 requires Java 21, and 26.3 requires Java 25. Install Fabric Loader 0.19 or newer and the matching Fabric API, then place the ProjectMemory JAR in your mods folder. Install on the client only; servers do not need this mod.
Getting started
Press J to open the journal and K to save a quick handoff note. Create a project, add tasks and locations, and pin it for a HUD reminder. Take an F2 screenshot before using Attach screenshot.
Local storage and limitations
Journals are stored locally under config/projectmemory/worlds/. They are personal to your client and are not shared with other players. A moved singleplayer save or different server address may use a different journal. JSON exports contain screenshot references, not image files; copy screenshots separately. Import replaces the current journal after confirmation. Journal backups do not back up your Minecraft world.
This is an initial 0.1.0 alpha. Automated core and native client tests passed on both targets, including persistence and the return recap. Multiplayer proxies/Realms, modpack coexistence and some display/file-manager interactions still need broader manual testing.
ProjectMemory is a journal and reminder tool, not a world backup or teleportation tool.
