ProjectExpansionNeo brings Project Expansion to Minecraft 1.21.1 / Fabric as an addon for ProjectEF Neo. Expand your EMC setup with additional machine tiers, larger storage options, transmutation tools, and reusable utilities.

ProjectEF Neo is required. This mod is an addon, not a standalone replacement for ProjectE. Use the Fabric versions of all required dependencies.

Requirements and installation

This version is for Minecraft 1.21.1, Fabric, and Java 21.

1. Install Fabric Loader 0.16.9 or newer.
2. Install Fabric API for Minecraft 1.21.1.
3. Install the full Minecraft 1.21.1 / Fabric JAR from ProjectEF Neo's releases. ProjectEF Neo 1.3.1 is the current build dependency.
4. Download the main ProjectExpansionNeo JAR from this project's Files tab and place it in your instance's mods folder alongside those dependencies.

For ProjectEF Neo, choose the regular mod JAR, such as ProjectEF-1.21.1-PE1.3.1.jar, not an -api.jar or -sources.jar file. Source JARs are for development and should not be installed as playable mods.

ProjectEF Neo bundles Forge Config API Port and the Fabric Permissions API, so separate installation of those libraries is unnecessary.

For multiplayer, install the mod and its required dependencies on both the client and the server.

Optional integrations

These mods are optional, not required:

• JEI or EMI — recipe viewing integration.
• Jade or WTHIF (WTHIT) — in-world information integration.
• Trinkets — a dedicated transmutation tablet slot, replacing the Curios integration from the original loader version.

Compatibility notes

• This project targets Fabric, not Forge or NeoForge. Do not mix JARs built for different loaders.
• Configuration uses TOML files, and the mod ID remains projectexpansion.
• Migrating existing NeoForge worlds to this Fabric version has not been verified. Back up your world before attempting a cross-loader migration.
