Project Atmosphere for TFC — Changelog
Latest changes
Weather now works together
- Project Atmosphere now controls the current temperature, wind, rain, snow, and storms experienced in TFC.
- Rain and snow are checked locally. Weather can affect one area while another area remains dry.
- Rain visuals now follow Project Atmosphere correctly, including on multiplayer clients.
- TFC wind now follows the direction and strength of Project Atmosphere's wind.
Better temperatures and forecasts
- Project Atmosphere's seven-day forecast now uses TFC's real climate for the player's location.
- Forecast temperatures now account for TFC seasons, altitude, latitude, and regional climate.
- Fixed seasons being applied twice, which could cause temperatures to become much hotter or colder than intended.
- If Project Atmosphere weather is still loading or unavailable, TFC safely uses its normal temperature instead.
Correct TFC seasons
- Project Atmosphere now follows the TFC calendar and recognizes the correct current season.
- Season changes now happen at the proper point in TFC's calendar.
- Seasonal weather changes progress smoothly through each TFC season.
Farming remains reliable
- TFC continues to control long-term climate calculations used for crops, fruit trees, hydration, and rainfall.
- Past and future temperature checks used for crop growth are no longer replaced with the current weather.
- Offline and catch-up crop growth therefore continues to behave as TFC expects.
Stability and compatibility
- Updated for Project Atmosphere
0.9.1-alphaand TerraFirmaCraft3.2.23. - Improved behavior while weather forecasts are loading or regenerating.
- Fixed several cases where the two mods could repeatedly ask each other for the same temperature.
- Fixed duplicate season setup during game startup.
Previous changes
Rain rendering fix
- Fixed rain sometimes being invisible even though Project Atmosphere reported that it was raining.
- TFC no longer blocks Project Atmosphere's local rain effects from appearing.
Important note
Project Atmosphere remains responsible for active weather. TerraFirmaCraft remains responsible for its calendar, world climate, farming climate, rainfall, and hydration systems.
