Problematics

Adds lots of new mobs to the game that make the game more challenging.

    Problematics adds lots of new mobs to the game to make the game more challenging. This mod is inspired by Lycanites Mobs and Born in Chaos. So far it adds 11 new mobs to the game, 1 new biome and 36 new survival-friendly items. (not including spawn eggs) Includes compatibility with Biomes o' Plenty. Many aspects of the mod use json tags and loot tables, making them configurable using datapacks. Every mob's spawning can be disabled individually using the built-in gamerules.

Command: /problematicsstats

Problematics also has built-in documentation in the form of a command that prints info in the chat.
Unfortunately, since the mod is in early developement, and most of this information is already on this page, the command only works for chupacabra for now.

For example:  /problematicsstats chupacabra  would print the following in the chat:

Mobs

Carcinus

*inspired by Japanese Spider Crab from Real Life*

30 HP, 5 Melee Damage, 12 Armor, 14 Exp, 0.3 Speed.

Drops carcinus chitin and raw carcinus meat.

Bred with Kelp, any raw fish or any raw meat.

Spawns on the beach in the overworld. (also Dune Beaches w/ BoP)

Chupacabra

*inspired by chupacabra from Lycanites Mobs*

16 HP, 4 Melee Damage, 2 Armor, 4 Exp, 0.35 Speed.

Drops raw chupacabra ribs and leather.

Can be bred with any sort of meat.

Spawns in all overworld biomes in darkness by default.

Decayed

 

20 HP, 3 Melee Damage, 3 Exp, 0.25 Speed.

Melee attacks inflict low-level weakness.

Drops corrupted flesh.

Spawns in the Umbral Gardens. (and Ominous Forest if BoP is installed)

Dreg

*inspired by dementor from Harry Potter*

20 HP, 2 Melee Damage, 7 Exp, 0.25 Speed.

Drops bones or rotten flesh, and frostweave.

Spawns in Groves and Snowy Taigas by default (and Muskeg, Snowy Coniferous Forest and Snowy Fir Clearing with BoP)

Mimic

*inspired by mimic from Dungeons & Dragons*

10 HP, 5 Melee Damage, 3 Exp.

Disguises itself as a chest, waits for a player to get close, then attacks.

A player can easily get killed by a mimic when caught off guard.

Will peek out of its chest approximately every 15 seconds.

Drops mimic ooze and 6-8 oak planks or 1 chest.

Spawns in the overworld in the dark by default.

Necroraptor

30 HP, 4 Melee Damage, 2 Armor, 7 Exp, 0.35 Speed.

They hunt in packs of 2-4, and return to their spawn point when their prey escapes.

Melee attacks inflict Frostbite for 10 seconds. (pun)

Custom gamerule-based config (necroraptorHomePingInterval) to control how often the mob's AI tells it to return home when not aggressive.

Drops bones and souls of winter.

Spawns in Ice spikes by default.

Spitter

10 HP, 2 Melee Damage, 2 Exp, 0.35 Speed.

Melee Attacks inflict poison, blindness and nausea.

Spitters are only about fox-sized, but their venom makes them dangerous.

Drops raw spitter chops and leather.

Can be bred with spider eyes. ('problematics:spitter_feed_items')

Spawns in swamps, mangrove swamps and sparse jungles by default. (special Bog variant if BoP is installed)

Wendigo

BOSS - 500 HP, 10 Melee Damage, 2 Armor, 30 Exp, 0.3 Speed.

Spawns 4 dreg minions on spawn and turns slain enemies into dregs.

Summoned with an Altar of winter. (crafted with 1 bone block, 3 frostweave and 1 spirit of winter)

 

Whispering Hand

20 HP, 2 Melee Damage, 3 Exp, 0.3 Speed.

Drops whispering hand legs, which can be seperated into chitin and raw meat.

Spawns in Umbral Gardens by default. (plus Ominous Woods w/ BoP)

Wyrm

30 HP, 4 Melee Damage, 4 Armor, 4 Exp, 0.3 Speed.

Drops raw wyrm steaks, wyrm scales and occasionally a wyrm egg. (steaks and egg can be cooked)

Neutral. Can be bred with grass, ferns, leaves or saplings.

Wyrms can be ridden.

Spawns in Deserts and Badlands by default. (also Dune Beaches with BoP)
