Description
Pride (or Warrior's Pride) is a mod that aim to revert Minecraft PvP physics to pre 1.9, while still keeping the content of the Combat Update.
Pride reworks the knockback functions, and attack cooldowns to make swords and fishing rods from 1.8.9 / 1.7.10 integrate with the new axes and shields. It also tries to replicate the feel of old school PvP by changing the player's body rotation speed, and the buckets / sword animations.
This mod relies on the 1.8.9 MCP
Feature List :
- Knockback based on 1.8 mappings
- Damage calculation based on 1.8 mappings
- Fishing Rod physics based on 1.8 mappings
- Body / head rotation based on 1.8 mappings
- Working Hit and Block system (When no shield equipped) with configurable damage reduction
- Attack cooldown disabled for items, but kept for axes, maces and spears !
- Nerfed Axe damage
- Disabled Crit, Weak and Strong hit sounds
- Disabled Sweeping attacks
- Disabled Swimming Animations & mechanics
- Movement in Water is a 1:1 replica of 1.8 sources
- Disabled Waterlogging leaves, to allow MLG on trees
- Changed player's movement speed when consuming an item back to 1.8 defaults
All of these functionalities can be enabled / disabled via Pride's config file !
