# Potion Rings HPotions Compatibility

Craft effect rings, find the supported potions in JEI, and equip a Flight Ring for creative-style flight in survival.

This is an **independent integration addon** originally made for the **Voxy Enhanced** setup on **Minecraft 1.21.11 / Fabric**. It integrates Just Potion Rings 2.0, HPotions 1.1.1 and Trinkets, with optional JEI 27 integration. It is not an official release or a redistribution of those mods.

## Recipes and JEI

- Contains **47 effect-ring crafting recipes**, including nine conditional HPotions recipes and recipes for previously uncovered effects in the supported setup.
- Preserves the nine original Just Potion Rings recipes. Together they cover the **56 registered effects with HPotions, or 47 without it, in the tested Voxy Enhanced mod set**.
- Adds a separate **Flight Ring** item and crafting recipe, bringing this addon's crafting recipe count to **48**.
- Makes the tested set's **56 effect rings, one Flight Ring and 27 HPotions potion variants** available to JEI with distinct identities and without duplicate entries when HPotions is installed. Without HPotions, JEI shows 47 effect rings and the Flight Ring.
- Leaves HPotions' own brewing behavior and the existing effect mechanics unchanged. The HPotions Mundane Eye is still a base effect, not an independent ore detector.

**This is not a recipe generator for arbitrary mods.** The recipe set targets vanilla Minecraft, HPotions, Artifacts, Farmer's Delight, Friends&Foes and Rally of the Guard effects. Other effect mods can add visible rings without corresponding recipes from this addon, and the same 56-effect count must not be assumed in a different setup. The additional mod-effect recipes are static and do not have optional-load conditions; use the full supported mod set listed below.

## Flight Ring

Craft it with **one base Potion Ring, four feathers and one Nether Star**:

Equip it in a **Trinkets ring slot**. In Survival or Adventure, use the normal flight controls: by default double-tap jump to start/stop, jump to ascend and sneak to descend. It does not change your game mode or start flying automatically. Carrying the ring in the ordinary inventory does not grant flight.

The server checks equipment each tick. Removing the ring, dying or disconnecting removes this addon's own permission without revoking another PlayerAbilityLib source. Creative and Spectator retain their normal abilities. Removing the ring while airborne ends its permission immediately; land before unequipping it.

## Required setup

- Minecraft **1.21.11**, Fabric Loader **0.18.4+**, Java **21+**, and Fabric API for 1.21.11.
- **Just Potion Rings 2.0** and **Trinkets 3.11.0-beta.2+1.21.11**.
- **HPotions 1.1.1 is optional**. Its nine ring recipes and potion variants appear only when installed.
- For the complete published recipe set: **Artifacts 14.0.3**, **Farmer's Delight Refabricated 1.21.11-3.6.16**, **Friends&Foes 5.0.4** and **Rally of the Guard 1.3.1**, with their normal dependencies.
- **JEI 27.x** is optional; the tested client uses 27.48.0.106. If JEI is present, other major versions are rejected by this addon's metadata.
- **PlayerAbilityLib 1.15.0 is bundled unchanged** as an internal JAR, with its LGPL notices and corresponding source archive. A separate manual PAL installation is not needed.

The tested Voxy Enhanced runtime uses Fabric Loader 0.20.1, Fabric API 0.141.6+1.21.11 and Java 25. Install the matching addon and required mods on **both the host/server and clients**. No dedicated-server network session was independently tested during publication preparation.

**HPotions is optional and is not included.** Download it voluntarily from the [official 1.1.1 page](https://modrinth.com/mod/hpotions/version/sj0RqWHg) and place its JAR in mods/. The addon opens without it; the Flight Ring and all other supported effect rings remain available. Nothing downloads HPotions automatically. Use matching HPotions choices and versions on host/server and clients. Do not remove it from an existing world containing its items without a world backup.

## Validation

- HPotions 1.1.1 is optional and is not bundled or downloaded automatically.
- Nine HPotions ring recipes load only when the supported mod is installed.
- The Flight Ring and the other supported effect-ring recipes remain available without HPotions.
- Preserves all recipe ingredients, runtime classes and the unmodified PAL library.
- Native isolated checks passed both with and without HPotions: Fabric recipe conditions,
  crafting grids, codecs, recipe displays, JEI identity/filtering and PAL flight behavior.
- Without HPotions: 39 addon recipes, 47 effect rings plus the Flight Ring in JEI.
- With HPotions: 48 addon recipes, 56 effect rings, 27 potion variants and the Flight Ring in JEI.
- No personal world, visual gameplay or multiplayer session was opened by these checks.
- PAL license, corresponding sources and relinking notices retained. Recursive source/binary
  archive checks found no EXE, BAT or CMD files.

The addon's original code uses its existing **Custom License / All Rights Reserved**. The bundled, unmodified **PlayerAbilityLib** is a separate **LGPL** library and is not covered by those restrictions. Its original notice is retained, together with LGPL v3 and GPL v3 texts, corresponding source and replacement/relinking information. The ring's appearance references the installed Just Potion Rings assets at runtime; those texture/model files are not copied into the addon.

Independent project; not endorsed by the upstream mod authors, Mojang or Microsoft.

**Artwork disclosure:** the project avatar is an original AI-generated branding illustration. It is not an in-game screenshot, an exact item texture or a crafting demonstration.

Source packaging correction: the Windows gradlew.bat convenience launcher is omitted from source archives to meet CurseForge upload rules. Java code, Gradle build files and license notices remain intact; use an installed matching Gradle on Windows. The embedded official PAL binary is unchanged.
