Portals: Relinked

Portals: Relinked is a vanilla-like mod that gives Nether portals a simple new purpose: creating reliable, color-coded connections.

Build and light Nether portals exactly as you normally would. Then use any Minecraft dye to color a portal. Two portals dyed the same color become a linked pair, allowing you to travel directly between them — whether they are in the same dimension or in different ones.

How It Works

• Create a regular Nether portal.
• Dye it with any available Minecraft dye.
• Dye a second portal with the same color to link the two portals together.
• Travel through either portal to reach its matching partner.

Custom portal links work both within one dimension and between dimensions, making them useful for bases, mines, villages, farms, and travel hubs.

Important Rules

• Each dye color can link only two portals.
• A third portal cannot be linked using a color that is already assigned to a pair.
• Dyeing a colored portal purple removes its custom link and restores normal vanilla portal behavior.
• Ordinary Nether portals remain unchanged — the mod does not alter vanilla portal mechanics unless you choose to create a colored link.
