Description

PolyStorage

Fully server-side mass storage for Fabric. Build a searchable, craftable item-storage network — a terminal, bulk storage cells, cables, import/export buses, and a wireless remote — and your players join with vanilla Minecraft. No client mod. No resource pack to install. No forced downloads.

Powered by Polymer: every block, item, and GUI is rendered to vanilla clients as vanilla content, so anyone can connect and use it — singleplayer, LAN, or a public server.

✨ Features

  • 🗄️ One terminal for everything — browse, search, sort, deposit, extract, and craft from your whole network in a single screen.
  • 📦 Tiered storage cells — disc-like cells hold your items in bulk; slot them into crates and upgrade as you grow (Tier 1 → Tier 5).
  • 🔗 Cables — cheap, slim conduits that link crates and machines across distance, so you don't trail chests everywhere.
  • ⬆️⬇️ Import / Export Bus — automatically pull from and push into any adjacent inventory (chests, furnaces, farms…), with per-side control and item filters.
  • 🔧 Network Wrench — cut or restore a block's connections face-by-face.
  • 📡 Storage Remote — bind it to a terminal and open your network from anywhere, even across dimensions. Runs on furnace fuel.
  • 🔢 Real item counts — the terminal shows true totals (far past a stack), not the vanilla 99 cap.
  • 🛡️ Claim-mod aware — respects land-claim protection via the Common Protection API when a claim mod is installed.

🚀 How it works

  1. Craft a Storage Terminal and some Storage Crates.
  2. Put Storage Cells into the crates — the cells are what actually store your items.
  3. Place crates touching the terminal, or run Cables to link them across any distance.
  4. Right-click the terminal to browse, search, sort, deposit, extract, and craft — all in one screen.
  5. Add an Import / Export Bus to automate item flow between your network and furnaces, farms, and chests.
  6. Craft a Storage Remote for wireless access to your whole network.

Storage Cell tiers

Tier Item types Per type Total capacity
1 10 128 1,280
2 15 256 3,840
3 20 512 10,240
4 25 1,024 25,600
5 30 2,048 61,440

Loading a furnace with the Import / Export Bus

Furnaces accept items by face, and the bus respects that: ore goes in from the top (smelt slot), fuel from a side (fuel slot), and finished output is pulled from the bottom. Put an exporter on top filtered for your ore, one on a side filtered for coal, and (optionally) an importer underneath.

📖 Recipes

Storage Terminal

The single access point to your network.

Storage Crate

Holds up to 5 Storage Cells. Keeps its cells when broken.

Storage Cells

Tier 1 is crafted from scratch; each higher tier surrounds the previous cell with a better material.

Tier 1 — iron & redstone around paper Storage Cell Tier 1 recipe

Tier 2 — gold around a Tier 1 cell Storage Cell Tier 2 recipe

Tier 3 — diamonds around a Tier 2 cell Storage Cell Tier 3 recipe

Tier 4 — emeralds around a Tier 3 cell Storage Cell Tier 4 recipe

Tier 5 — netherite scrap & crying obsidian around a Tier 4 cell Storage Cell Tier 5 recipe

⚠️ Upgrading a cell does not carry over its contents — empty a cell before promoting it.

Network Cable

A cheap conductor that extends your network's reach. Crafts 6 at a time.

Network Cable recipe

Network Wrench

Right-click a cable, crate, or bus face to disconnect it; sneak-right-click to reconnect every side.

Import / Export Bus

Toggle between Import (pulls everything) and Export (pushes a filter), with a per-side on/off in its GUI.

Storage Remote

Sneak-click a terminal to bind it, then use it anywhere to open that network. Add furnace fuel to power it.

📦 Requirements

  • Minecraft 26.2
  • Fabric Loader
  • Fabric API

That's it — Polymer, sgui, and every other library are bundled inside the jar. Install PolyStorage on the server only; connecting players need nothing but vanilla Minecraft. Works in singleplayer and on LAN too.

PolyStorage is fully server-side — no client installation required.
