Polybind 1.1.1 - Forge/NeoForge 1.20.1
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Polybind 1.1.1
Wheel fixes for every Minecraft version and loader Polybind ships for (1.19.2, 1.20.1, 1.21 and 1.21.1; Fabric, Forge and NeoForge). Nothing to configure or migrate - your config and your remembered picks stay as they are.
What's new
- A binding picked from the wheel now always runs, whichever way its mod reads the key. The pick is delivered as a real key press that only the picked binding answers.
- Pressing the wheel's key again closes things instead of firing something else. With the wheel left open for a click, it closes the wheel and picks nothing. While the screen your pick opened is still up, it closes that screen, even one that does not close on its own key (the FTB Teams screen). A screen that uses the key itself, such as a text field, keeps it.
Worth knowing
Unchanged: with a remembered pick, a quick tap repeats it and holding the key opens the wheel.
Most important fixes
- Mods that listen to raw key events instead of polling their keybind (FTB Teams' "Open Teams GUI" is the reported case) only reacted when you picked by letting the key go, and did nothing when you clicked a segment with the mouse. Both work now.
- Picking with the mouse while the wheel's key is still held no longer closes the screen that just opened (Open Parties and Claims' menu and the Social Interactions screen close on their own key).
- Closing the wheel while its key is still held no longer presses every binding on that key in the background. That is what made a different action than the one you picked open as well - FTB Teams opening after you chose something else, for example.
- The screenshot and fullscreen keys, and mods that work the same way, no longer act on the press that merely opens the wheel; they act only when you pick them.
One known limitation: something that listens for the raw key code rather than a keybind (for example a malilib hotkey on the same key) sees a wheel key twice, the physical press and the replayed one.
Quilt is not supported or tested.
