Polybind

Two mods on the same key? Polybind lets every one of them fire, or opens a radial wheel so you pick - tap to repeat your last choice, hold to choose again. Also ships modpack defaults that survive updates without overwriting your changes.

What's new

Polybind 1.1.0

What's new

  • Forge and NeoForge, next to Fabric, built from the same code.
  • Minecraft 1.19.2, 1.20.1 (and 1.20 on Fabric), 1.21 and 1.21.1.
  • A new pixel-art logo and mod icon.

Worth knowing

On Forge and NeoForge, the loader itself already fires every keybind bound to a shared key - so "All fire" is just what happens there by default. On older Forge builds (1.19.2, and early Forge 47 builds on 1.20.1) the loader fires everything but only counts a click for one binding; Polybind fills in the rest, so "All fire" still means all fire. What Polybind still adds on those loaders: the Wheel (pick one, tap to repeat), a mode per key, exactly one click per binding per press, the hold safeguard that keeps movement, jump, sneak, sprint, attack and use on All fire by default, pack defaults, and the in-game screen.

Most important fixes

  • With the default mode set to Wheel, every key carrying a hold action - including modded ones like Just Zoom, Accessorify, Deeper Darker and Simple Voice Chat - stayed on All fire, so many shared keys in a real pack ignored the Wheel default. Now only walking, jumping, sneaking, sprinting, attacking and using stay on All fire by default; every other key, modded ones included, follows the Wheel default like it should.
  • A shared number key's own wheel no longer reopens or re-picks on auto-repeat.
  • A second shared key pressed while the first wheel is still open no longer breaks the first one.
  • Alt-tabbing away while a wheel is open cancels it instead of firing a random pick.
  • A wheel blocked once by another mod no longer disables every later wheel.
  • Pack files saved with a byte-order mark (Notepad) now apply correctly instead of being skipped.
  • A failed pack-defaults import or write no longer leaves a half-finished file behind.
  • The Pack defaults screen keeps a margin at the smallest window size.

Quilt is not supported or tested.
