Plant In A Jar is a mod that lets you grow any Minecraft plant (Trees, Crops, etc) inside a 1x1x1 jar.
So I think this might be an issue, but I have noticed that I can put Bewitchment tress into the plant jar, however they don't grow or anything, no matter what block I have tried to put into it. Most of those trees even grow on dirt normally but I am unsure as to why they won't grow in the jar.

Yeah I have to add support for every tree mod in existence by hand it's pure pain. There's no good API of sappling -> logs + leaves
In reply to cool_mineman:
could try to allow others to add them to a config instead, and allow a generalized method of implementation for it
Hey I have an idea, why don't you make the mod learn which sapling grows into what tree and what resources.
You could add a custom dimension, iterate over every sapling, placing the sapling down, bonemealing it, harvesting the grown tree and recording the dropped loot to add it to a sort of global table.
It's sort of what the "Woot" mod does for mobs.

Similar concept added in 2.0.0. Bewitchment trees now work.
why dont make a forge version? :/
In reply to momitomomoiro:
A. There are other various similar forge mods
B. I find forge annoying as a mod dev
well, on that side I understand, but there really aren't many updated mods that work like this in 1.16.4.
I just can't help but be sad that there's a barrier between mods forge and fabric :(
Sorry Is this Is off topic, but could you make a mod like this but with villagers/traders?. There Is a mod called Easy villagers but for forge only:(
This mod is similar to Botany Pots, though I think that mod at least limited some of the stuff that could grow in them so the pots arnt so overpowered. I would like to think of this mod as a more overpowered Immersive Engineering Cloche instead if it had some changes. I think they need a bit of nerfing to make them a bit harder to obtain and use. These are just way too cheap and have no maintenance cost to use. My ideas:- Make the jar cost 5 glass, 2 Iron Ingots for the bottom left and right, and make the bottom middle require a hopper instead of an iron ingot.- Make the jar either cost something to grow stuff or decrease the grow speed to take 10x longer than what they do now to grow stuff then: - Add an additional slot in the jar where we can feed it various kinds items to make the jars work. - Biodegradeable stuff can be used as nutrients, things like saplings, leaves, foods, ect. these would be the lowest grade of nutrients to feed a jar. They allow the jar to grow the items very slowly. It would take about 4 of these items to make the plant in the jar grow once. - Next tier of nutrients would be Bone Meal. It would take about 1 bone meal to grow plant in the jar once but it would still grow items very slowly. - Add a couple Fertilizer variants. - Basic Fertilizer is 4 Bonemeal and 4 Rotten Flesh. It grows the plant in the jar 5 times per Fertilizer and faster than bone meal. - Blazing Fertilizer is 4 Bonemeal and 4 Blaze Powder. It grows the plant in the jar 10 times per fertilizer and is faster than Basic Fertilizer - Ender Fertilizer is 4 Bonemeal and 4 Ender Peals. It grows the plant in the jar 20 times and is faster than Blazing Fertilizer. - Ultimate Fertlizer is 4 Bonemeal, 4 Dragon Breath and 1 Nether Star. It lasts forever and is the fastest growing fertilizer out of all of them.

if its too op u could just make it slower in the configs -_-
Love this mod, it has a fair mod compatibility range, I was wondering if you could tweak it to accept the croptopia fruit trees? They go in the jars, but do not sprout or drop the fruits from the saplings. Also Supernatural crops do not produce either, that is the mod that requires them to be planted on stone, and "hydrated" with lava.
Are there any similar mods for Forge 1.16? I really need one like this but not for Fabric :(
Botany Pots has very similar mechanics.
hi does this work for forge?
In reply to datducklingboi:
No, it works for fabric
damn thanks for replying
How can I get this to work with Croptopia trees? Seems they use like say for avocado tree its croptopia:avocado_sapling.
please can you say compatible mods with this mod !!!
