v4.0.3 for 1.21.1-neoforge
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Compatibility update part 1: This version fixes issues affecting Iris, Ad Astra, and the arbitrary number of other mods that worsened texture corruption
- added
/particlerain biometagscommand and debug screen entry for biome tags (helpful for custom particle config) - optimized surface particle spawning (10x less spawn attempts)
- fixes a race condition where surface particle spawns outcompeted sky particle spawns, resulting in decreased rain density
- relative density values increased for all surface particles (shrubs, fog, and dust haze) to account for decreased spawn frquency (visual density is unchanged)
- config changes
- percentage sliders no longer display fractional values as it is no longer required due to the above
- replaced 'density' and 'max particle amount' performance options with 'particle amount'
- replaced 'storm particle density' performance option with 'storm particle spawn multiplier'
- replaced 'render default weather' compatibility option with separate toggles for rain and snow
- reversed wind direction because it going in the opposite direction to the clouds was silly
- fog tint is now brighter when not raining and smoothly changes with the rain level
- fixed transparency issue rendering fog and blended particles in minecraft 1.21.9 and up with iris shader packs due to using the wrong render pipeline
- fixed wind sound and sandstorms appearing on the moon (and all other non overworld biomes)
- behaviour on forge may differ slightly as it does not have its own overworld tag and minecraft's is used instead
- removed forge tags from fabric and neoforge builds
- fixed corrupt rain and snow sprites from improper memory allocation during texture loading (ty LilleboHaugen)
