What's new

Compatibility

  • Built for NeoForge 21.1.262, the latest version for Minecraft 1.21.1. The mod's code is unchanged and the jar still works with 21.1.252.

New

  • Servants defend their master. Summons, dominated creatures, tamed beasts and the servants of a lich or of the Great Tomb now turn at once on any creature that targets their master, themselves or a fellow servant within 24 blocks. They no longer wait for the first blow.
  • Loot in empty structure storage. Chests, barrels, drawers and graves that were left empty in the mod's structures now hold loot that fits the place: houses, huts, tents, crypts, stores and so on. This only applies to newly generated chunks.

Changes

  • Faction patrols now roam the whole Overworld.
    • Where no folk lives (deserts, badlands, beaches, jungles, ice…), any of them may pass by.
    • In the Katze Plains, you now meet Re-Estize soldiers or Baharuth knights: the two kingdoms wage war there and hunt the undead.
    • Patrols are more frequent:
      • two chances in three at each try (one in three before);
      • up to ten patrols at once (six before);
      • a new one as soon as the previous one is 96 blocks away from you (128 before).
  • The living peoples shun even more the players they hate: undead, vampires, demons, Arachnoids without their Mask Bug and werewolves in wolf form. A disguise still hides them.
    • Their merchants refuse to trade with these players.
    • Their chiefs (lords, the Thane, the elf chief, and lycanthrope, lizardman and tribe chiefs) give them no quests, unless the player's guild has conquered the place by decree.
    • Village iron golems hunt these players. Golems built by players do not.
    • Villagers panic around these players and refuse to trade; wandering traders flee them.
  • The Katze Plains are rarer: about 40% fewer of them, each as vast as before. Only newly generated land is affected. The Great Tomb, which is only found there, becomes rarer too.
  • A new world never starts in the Katze Plains.
    • If the spawn point lands inside them or within 24 blocks of them, it moves to the nearest chunk well away from them, avoiding oceans and rivers.
    • If the world has a bonus chest, one is also placed at the new spot.
    • Existing worlds keep their spawn point.
  • First person: the fingers and claws of every race, lizardmen included, are now on the outer side of the hand, as for the Overlord.

Fixes

  • The mod's creatures no longer vanish when you are not far away: they no longer despawn while a player is within 96 blocks.
  • Creatures no longer drop gold coin items on top of the virtual gold they already give. This affects brood spiders, tribes, inhabitants, Khajiit, Clementine, Go Gin and others.
  • Wood elves no longer show up in the Baharuth Empire. Patrols passing near its inhabitants now bring half-elves instead, for both elf patrols and the Argland Council archer.
  • The Baharuth amphora no longer has holes at the top and bottom.
