Description
# Overlord RPG mod
**Overlord RPG mod** turns Minecraft into a role-playing game set in the world of *Overlord*. Pick a race and a lineage, choose a class, level up from 1 to 100, learn magic from tier 1 to tier 10, join a guild and make your name in a New World full of kingdoms, monsters and legendary bosses — all the way to the Great Tomb and its Overlord.
## Features
- **26 playable races and 42 lineages**: humans, elves, dwarves, lizardmen, undead, vampires, demons, lycanthropes, insectoids, arachnoids, dragonoids, doppelgängers, slimes, automatons and the demi-human tribes (orcs, Zerns, Cabens, Armats, Pteropus, Magelos, Snakemen, Bafolks, Quagoa…), each with its own body, bonuses, weaknesses and racial abilities.
- **12 classes**: Berserker, Knight, Paladin, Sorcerer, Necromancer, Illusionist, Druid, Assassin, Ranger, Monk, Beast Tamer and Insect Tamer (Arachnoids only), each with its own techniques and spells.
- **Levels 1 to 100** with nine Overlord-style stats to spend, an adventurer rank (Copper to Adamantite) earned by completing quests, and tiered magic up to tier 10 and beyond.
- **Leveled equipment**: more than 80 weapons (laser guns included), 65 armor sets and dozens of Curios artifacts, with quality grades, a dwarven anvil to upgrade your gear, runes, potions, scrolls and skill books.
- **A living world**: human kingdoms (Re-Estize, Baharuth, the Argland Council, the Holy Kingdom), elf cities, dwarf holds, lizardman villages, lycanthrope villages, tribe camps and underground arachnoid nests — with lords, merchants, guards, daily quests and faction rivalries.
- **Dungeons and bosses**: the Katze Plains, the cult's cemetery, ice dragon lairs, Go Gin's arena, Fluder's tower, the Six Arms, the Blue Roses, the Black Scripture… and the Great Tomb with its floor guardians.
- **Guilds**: territories, a shared treasury, a quest board, teams, teleporters, a player market, messages, created NPCs and the Conquest Decree to bring whole settlements under your guild's banner.
- **Quality of life**: a world map and minimap shared with your guild, a compass with waypoints and quest targets, a personal arsenal and a full RPG interface.
## The in-game guidebook
Every player receives the **Overlord RPG Guidebook** when they first join. Right-click it to read the whole mod, chapter by chapter:
- **Welcome** and a **Progression** chapter that tells you where to go and which bosses to face at each level tier.
- **Your character**, **Races and lineages**, **Classes** and **All skills**.
- **Elements and weaknesses**, **Equipment and upgrades**, **Runes** and **Brewing and potions**.
- **The world and its dungeons**, **Factions and peoples** and **Guild, quests and economy**.
- A **Bestiary** (levels, habitats, drops), **Items: where to find them**, **Furniture and decorative blocks**, and **Keys and commands**.
New players are also guided by a short introduction quest chain (shown under the character panel) up to level 10.
## Requirements
- Minecraft **1.21.1** with **NeoForge**
- **Curios API**
- **TerraBlender**
## Compatibility
- **[Better Combat](https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/better-combat-by-daedelus)** (optional, with its own dependencies Cloth Config and playerAnimator): every melee weapon of the mod ships with Better Combat weapon attributes — combos, attack animations and true two-handed weapons (claymores, hammers, double axes, spears, halberds, scythes, staves). The race bodies (lizardmen, tribes, insectoids, undead…) follow the attack animations, and in first person only your arms and your weapon are drawn.
- **Better Mob Combat: Reimagined** (optional): the mod's creatures swing the mod's weapons exactly like a player would with Better Combat. Their on-hit effects (poison, knockback, claws, fangs, vampire bites…) trigger on the real impact, and large creatures such as ogres, trolls, Go Gin, death knights and the Quagoa adapt the player animations to their own skeletons.
Both mods are optional: without them, Overlord RPG mod uses its own combat and animations.
