What's new

Outbreak 1.0.1

Requires Minecraft 26.3 (or a 26.3.x hotfix) and NeoForge 26.3.0.95 or newer. Install it on the client and the server.

A bug-fix update. Your 1.0.0 worlds carry on, so there's no need to start a new one. Update the server and every player's game.

Changed

  • A red blood moon: the moon itself now turns blood red during a blood moon, not just the fog and the horizon. Thanks to CozyGlow who asked why it stayed white! It fades in and out with the rest of the effect.
  • Keep the vanilla main menu: a new setting, customTitleScreen in config/outbreak-client.toml. Turn it off if you play Outbreak in a modpack where other mods add buttons to the main menu.
  • Minecraft hotfixes: Outbreak now loads on any Minecraft 26.3.x, not only 26.3.

Fixed

  • Shooting protected glass: bullets broke glass and ice anywhere, even at spawn, in adventure mode, or in areas protected by a land-claim mod. Now they only break it where you could break it by hand.
  • Blood moon in the Nether and End: on servers that allow the Nether and the End, the red fog followed players there.
  • The evacuation helipad: it could cut through anything built where it landed. It now leaves buildings standing and only clears natural ground and plants.
  • Lost items in the backpack screen: shift-clicking an item into your backpack right after taking the backpack off could make the item disappear.
  • Blood spray: shooting minecarts, armor stands or item frames sprayed blood, and so did shots that did no damage, like hitting another player with PvP off.
  • Less network traffic: skill bonuses were sent to every player once a second, even when nothing had changed.

For server owners

  • Nothing to change in outbreak-synced.toml. The new main menu setting is in each player's own config/outbreak-client.toml.
