outbreak-epca-optimizer-1.1.0
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
1.1.0 — E-PCA compatibility and search optimization update
- Adds support for the E-PCA package layout introduced in 0.4.0 and used through
0.146d, while retaining the original 0.3.5 release family.
- Audits 35 official dependency files and replaces the old 0.3.5-only version
restriction with per-target checks against reviewed bytecode.
- Skips unknown or changed targets with diagnostic messages, allowing the affected
E-PCA code to run normally rather than blindly injecting an outdated patch.
- Adds a missed-search cooldown for the newer shared light search, which can scan
4,913 block positions per unsuccessful attempt. The default retry is 60 server ticks.
- Staggers initial contact/shared light checks so newly spawned hordes do not all
start their retry cycles together.
- Preserves current E-PCA contact-light ranges, block rules and successful-search
cooldowns, including the upstream 20-to-25-tick change.
- Moves nearest-target throttling after E-PCA's forced-target branch. Forced
targets are no longer delayed by the addon's idle-target scan schedule.
- Applies zombie group refresh changes specifically to the lead-cooldown reset;
unrelated constants in the entity tick method are not replaced.
- Adds configuration switches and bounded intervals for each optimization path.
- Reports the count of selected patch targets and warns when none were selected.
- Uses the bytecode lookup supported by Forge's production ModLauncher service.
- Includes a reproducible Java 17 build, regression tests, dependency compatibility
matrix and distribution checks.
Spawn rates, infected limits, progression, evolution, conversion, eggs, health,
damage and attack implementations are not modified. This addon changes AI search
and group-refresh timing; it does not guarantee a specific FPS/TPS improvement.
