Adding a new layer to Origins!

With this mod, you can add a background to your character tied to your magical aptitude within Iron's Spells and Spellbooks. Were they a Nether Student? A Prodigy? A Lazybones? It's all up to you. Each background comes with a small positive effect, small enough it won't upset the balance, even without a negative effect, though some have one.

Backgrounds are their own type, so they won't be competing with your hundreds of Origins or Classes. In fact, you can have an Origin, a Class and a Background, similar to a popular TTRPG.
