What Remains After Decay

The Wither's immense power withers the pages away the moment it is sealed inside. Though despite this, the words remain, floating within the binding of the book. The book, already half withered, is not destroyed with use. The words float too wildly to be read, but even holding this book imbues you with the Wither's ability to fly; what remains after decay, still potent.
Black Bone

Prerequisite: Obtain the advancement [Spooky Scary Skeleton].
Wither skeletons are black bone and withering hate, their story is one of skulls that never stop grinning. When read, for the following two minutes, your health is greatly increased, and the targets you strike receive withering, as though black bone now grows within your pages.
The Pack Remembers

Wolves hunt in packs, and when one falls, the pack remembers. When read, two powerful spectral wolves materialize and fight for you for one minute, as though the pack remembers you as one of their own.
Undying Rage
Experience Cost: 35

Prerequisite: Obtain the advancement [We Need to Go Deeper].
Zoglins are what remains when hoglins die and refuse to stay dead, their rage undying, their hunger unending. When read, for the following ten minutes, each entity you kill grants a stack of rotten rage, stacking up to fifty times. At its peak, you deal ten times the damage; undying rage, finally given direction.
The Rotting Touch
Experience Cost: 12

Prerequisite: Obtain the advancement [Monster Hunter].
Zombies rot, and what they touch begins to rot as well: a story of decay spread by contact. When read, for the next minute, your attacks spread infection. Non-undead creatures take rotting damage for five seconds after being struck, as though your touch has become that rot.
The Almost-Healed
Experience Cost: 30

Prerequisite: Obtain the advancement [Zombie Doctor].
Zombie villagers are almost healed, almost human, almost saved. When read while looking at one, that almost becomes complete: they are cured instantly, returning to what they were before. The story, for once, has a happy ending.
The Horde's Memory
Experience Cost: 16

Prerequisite: Obtain the advancement [We Need to Go Deeper].
Zombified Piglins remember those who wronged them, grudges building with each offense until violence becomes inevitable. When read, for the following two minutes, when a creature attacks you, your grudge against it builds. The more grudge you hold, the more damage you deal, as though the horde's memory now lives in you.
