If you are reading this description or playing early on and feel that it is too weak, worry not. While this Origin is designed to start incredibly weak, it ends up very strong by the end of the game.
Abyssalisk: The Abyssalisk is an anomaly that awakens when a remnant conduit achieves sentience within the ruins of a shattered amplifying frame. The dust and rubble that fell from that derelict structure gathered tightly around the conduit. This shell of prismarine creates an interior pocket of highly condensed energy, one that mimics intelligence in ways that should not be possible. Yet the abyssal depths that birthed this awareness have left it corrupted; a drowning scream lingering in its soul, forever unable to surface.

🟩 The Conduit Within [Primary]: Release the condensed power trapped inside your prismarine shell; an outward pulse of ancient resonance. For a moment, the abyss recedes. Those touched by the wave move faster, mine quicker, see through darkness, and breathe water as if it were air. The conduit remembers what it was meant to do.
🟩 The Abyss Within [Secondary]: Pull the abyss inward. The drowning scream that lives in your soul leaks out as a contracting pulse of pressure and despair. Enemies feel their limbs grow heavy, their vision swallowed by darkness, and their lungs fill with phantom water; not enough to kill, but enough to remind them what it means to drown.
🟩 Mimicry's Appetite [Use Item]: Your vessel is a scream that has not yet finished shaping itself. The abyss made you, but the abyss is not the only thing that hungers to remake. Some rare items resonate with the hollow space where your organs should be. Permanently upgrade your form by consuming that which resonates. With each imitation, your drowning scream learns a new note.
🟢 Vines in the Deep [Passive]: The vessel you’ve woven around your core from kelp remembers how to rise toward the distant light. Hold fast to kelp, and ascend.
🟡 Eternal Fast [Passive]: You have no stomach, no hunger, no flesh to sustain. The mimicry of life does not require food. But neither does it heal on its own; wounds to your woven body must be repaired, not rested away.
🟡 Lung of the Abyss [Passive]: The abyss is your birthplace. Its pressure fills what passes for your lungs, and you do not choke. But the surface is foreign. On land, your kelp vessel dries, your shell cracks. You have sixty seconds before the drowning scream becomes your own.
🟡 Prismarine Resonance [Passive]: Prismarine is your shell; the rubble that trapped you also remembers the frame's purpose. Near it, your power resonates more clearly: you move faster, and your pulses reach farther. But the frame was a prison before it was an amplifier. Stay too long, and it begins to pull that power back, leaving you weakened and disoriented.
🔴 Air's Cruelty [Passive]: Water is not just your breath; it is your shape. Without it, your kelp vessel stiffens and frays. Your shell grows brittle. Outside your element, every blow strikes harder against you.
🔴 Borrowed Appendages [Passive]: Your true self is only the core, the conduit, the condensed pocket of power, the scream without a mouth. Without kelp woven around you, you are slow and fragile. Consume kelp to grow temporary appendages, a mimicry of limbs. Each appendage is a heart of borrowed substance, and your wounds tear them away.
🔴 Inhuman Form [Passive]: Armor was shaped for flesh, not for the abyss's mimicry. What you wear resists you as much as it protects; its effectiveness is halved against your twisted form.
🔴 Sinking Feeling [Passive]: The conduit was never meant to float. Its purpose was to rest on the ocean floor, singing its resonance into the deep. You inherit that weight. In water, you do not swim upward; you fall, slowly, inevitably, back toward the crushing dark.

Coast Armor Trim
The coast trim maps the line where the ocean becomes land. Etched into your shell, it reminds your form that the shore is a threshold.
While within 4 blocks of water while on land, gain +50% mining speed and +50% movement speed.
Anchored
Conduit
A second conduit housed within your core bears the burden of the frame's hunger. The original conduit is freed to resonate without cost.
Prismarine Resonance no longer applies its weakening or disorientation penalty.
Remembrance
Heart of the Sea
The Heart of the Sea is a fragment of a conduit's soul, singing a song your core once knew. Consuming it reawakens a fraction of your original purpose within The Conduit Within.
The Conduit Within's radius is doubled, and its effects persist twice as long.
Veil
Ink Sac
Your scream borrows the ink's purpose, wrapping The Abyss Within in a shroud that clings to the eyes of the living.
The blinding effect of The Abyss Within is twice as prominent.
Splinter
Prismarine Shard
Prismarine remembers it was the frame that held you. A careful splinter of it embedded in your vessel grants a whisper of that power, yet too small to trigger the frame's hunger.
Increase movement speed by 10%.
Venom
Pufferfish
The pufferfish swells with borrowed death. Your vessel learns to store that same venom in its woven fibers, releasing it upon those who strike you.
Enemies that hit you with a melee attack have a 30% chance to be poisoned for 5 seconds.
Siphon
Sponge
The sponge drinks without conscience. Your core learns this hunger, turning each strike into a sip of your enemy's ending.
Upon damaging an enemy with a melee attack, have a 20% chance to heal 2 health points.
Tidal
Tide Armor Trim
The tide trim is more than decoration; it is a seal. Its pattern holds the ocean against your kelp, a thin film of home that shields you from Air's Cruelty.
Air's Cruelty no longer applies its damage penalty.
Shelled
Turtle Scute
You weave scute around your core, a portable sanctuary for when your Borrowed Appendages are torn away.
While down to your core state, incoming damage is reduced by 25%.
Ascent
Nautilus Shell
The nautilus builds its shell in a spiral; a staircase from depth to surface. Consuming it grants your vessel a lung and a spine that remembers air.
Lung of the Abyss no longer limits your time on land. You can breathe indefinitely.
Rhythmic
Any Music Disc
Music is ordered sound. The disc teaches your song a rhythm, a pulse that those touched by The Conduit Within begin to mirror.
The movement speed and mining speed buffs from The Conduit Within are doubled.
Crystalline
Diamond
Diamond is unyielding. Woven into your vessel, it enhances your kelp with something that does not tear.
Gain 3 armor points.
Resonance
Echo Shard
The echo shard is a cry frozen in crystal; a sound that never reached a listener. Your scream learns to resonate with this lost voice, doubling the reach of The Abyss Within.
The Abyss Within's radius is doubled, and its effects persist twice as long.
Miracle
Enchanted Golden Apple
The enchanted apple is a fruit that should not exist; a miracle pressed into flesh. Its impossible vitality sinks into your core, expanding what you are.
Increase your core's maximum health by 4 points.
Unveil
Glow Ink Sac
The glow squid's light does not illuminate; it reveals. Your song drinks this radiance, sharpening the vision of those who hear The Conduit Within.
The night vision granted by The Conduit Within has double the intensity.
Refrain
Goat Horn
The goat's horn does not create sound, it amplifies what already exists. You internalize this principle, making your song and scream easier to produce.
The cooldowns of The Conduit Within and The Abyss Within are reduced by 15 seconds each.

Golden Apple
Fruit of the earth, forged with gold. Its essence thickens your core, reinforcing the hollow space where your life gathers.

Swarm
Honeycomb
The honeycomb is a home built by thousands. Your hollow core becomes a new hive, hosting phantom bees that stir when The Abyss Within speaks.
Activating The Abyss Within releases 3 phantom bees that seek and attack the nearest enemies. Bees last 10 seconds.
Forged
Iron Ingot
Iron is the metal of mortals; common, sturdy, reliable. It binds your kelp fibers together, giving your borrowed body the strength of forged things.
Gain 2 armor points. Additionally, you can store 4 extra Borrowed Appendages.
Undying
Totem of Undying
The totem holds a life that refuses to end. You consume that refusal, making it your own. Your core swells with stolen endurance.
Increase your core's maximum health by 8 points.
Weeping
Crying Obsidian
Crying obsidian weeps with a heat that does not burn you, it shields you. These scales remember the Nether's flame and refuse to let it take your form.
You no longer take passive environmental damage in the Nether.
Embers
Blaze Rod
The blaze rod contains fire that never dies. Your scream drinks this ember, adding a second voice to The Abyss Within; one that speaks in flame.
The Abyss Within ignites all non-aquatic enemies within its radius for 5 seconds.
Mourning
Ghast Tear
The ghast's tear is salt and sorrow given form. Your hollow core drinks this grief and learns to heal through the act of harming with The Abyss Within.
The Abyss Within heals you for 2 health per enemy afflicted.
Cinders
Magma Cream
Magma cream is fire suspended in flesh. Coated across your vessel, it leaves traces of the abyss wherever you tread; embers that remember your passage while The Abyss Within recovers.
While The Abyss Within is on cooldown, you leave a trail of Abyssal Embers behind you for 3 seconds. Enemies within embers take 2 damage per second and are heavily slowed.
Infernal
Netherite Ingot
Netherite has known fire so intimately it no longer recognizes it as a threat. You weave this indifference into your shell's weakest seams, teaching your borrowed flesh the same impossible disregard.
Gain 5 armor points. Additionally, you are permanently immune to fire and lava damage.
Decay
Wither Skeleton Skull
The wither skeleton's skull carries a curse that eats life. Your scream learns this rot, exhaling decay alongside the despair of The Abyss Within.
The Abyss Within applies Wither I for 5 seconds to all enemies within its radius. Additionally, melee attacks have a 10% chance to apply Wither I for 3 seconds.
Surrogate
Nether Star
The Nether Star holds the soul of the Wither; a thing that refuses to die. This surrogate soul bears the void's hunger in your place, shielding your core.
You no longer take passive environmental damage in the End.
Blink
Chorus Fruit
Chorus fruit teaches that space can be folded; that here and there are suggestions, not laws. Your abyss learns to fold itself, existing in two places at once when The Abyss Within cannot yet speak.
Attempting to activate The Abyss Within while it is on cooldown teleports you up to 16 blocks in the direction you are looking.
Exhale
Dragon's Breath
The dragon's breath is the void given form. Your abyss drinks this absence and learns to exhale it, creating pockets of nothing wherever The Abyss Within screams.
The Abyss Within creates a 4-block radius of Abyssal Embers that persist for 15 seconds. Enemies within embers take 2 damage per second and are heavily slowed.
Gravity
Elytra
The elytra taught you that falling is just sinking through air. Your vessel remembers this truth and refuses the ground's claim on you.
You gain permanent elytra gliding without equipping the item. You are immune to fall damage.
Carapace
Shulker Shell
The shulker's shell is a fortress of silence. Woven around your core, it sings a protective melody when you sing The Conduit Within.
Upon activating The Conduit Within, you take 50% less damage for 10 seconds.
The Drowned Choir
Achieve All Other Abyssalisk Advancements
Your song and scream were once two voices fighting for the same throat. Now they harmonize. The abyss no longer screams through you; you scream through the abyss, and echoes of the drowned choir rise to meet you.
While both core abilities are on cooldown, sneak and activate either to summon a nexus of abyssal energies that persists for 60 seconds. Those within the boundary receive effects based on everything your form has learned.
