A: Make sure you're using Fabric and not Forge, if it doesn't work with Fabric report a bug.

O, sorry I didn't look at the files, great mod!
I love this idea, but i have grown a love for forge mods too much. If i ever use fabric i will for sure be downloading this.

Thanks for the comment! The reason I don't want to do it for Forge, is that generally the recommended way to edit food effects is to replace the food entirely. That means, that if another mod modifies the god apple in some way, this mod will not be compatible.
+ I'm used to Yarn now, don't want to go back to MCP. I hate TileEntity and ResourceLocation. I love BlockEntity and Identifier.

Fabric is growing in popularity, and with mods like Sodium, Lithium and Replay Mod, it even started to gain some popular YouTubers' attention. A project is being worked on, named PatchworkMC, which attempts to run Forge mods on Fabric. Maybe one day it could be finished.
