NOTICE: Using these generators will lag out your game.
Numbur's Ore Generator is a mod that allows you to generate ore when you want to, using the two new items the Ore Generator and the Configured Ore Generator, which the Configured Ore Generator is only available through normal means in Creative mode.
In order to use the regular Ore Generator, simply right-click a block and then shift-right-click to make the Ore Generator generate more of it. It has a tendency to avoid caves, so majority of the time you'll need to mine for it. It costs 4 echo shards, 4 netherite ingots, and a nether star.
The Configured Ore Generator has more power than the regular one. You can control the generation height, the tags it generates as, the size of the ore, how far it generates from the user, and etc..
There is also a new command called /oregen. You can use this to configure regular Ore Generators if you don't like the default settings. Here are the default settings listed below for reference:
- maxOreSize: 1
- oreRange: 300
- maxY: 64
- minY: -64
- maxVeinSize: 7
- maxGeneratedOres: 500
- minGeneratedOres: 300
If you are skeptical that the Ore Generators are actually working, there is a setting that can be turned on called "Debug Mode", using the command:
/oregen debugMode true
Debug Mode will tell you where every ore generated by the Ore Generator generates.
There is also another setting called "Banish Craftable Generators". In order to enable this use the command:
/oregen banishCraftableGenerators true
This will make it to where every Ore Generator that exists in a player's inventory will uncraft itself and the player will be refunded.
If you want to make the most out of this mod, I'd recommend using something like Block Swap and FTB Quests to be able to (for example) make it to where certain ore generation are locked behind bosses or certain tasks.
If you are confused on how to use something or want to report a bug, let me know in the comments!
