🙈 No Name Tags
Press F6 to make every name tag in the world disappear.
Player names, scoreboard team prefixes, villager titles, server NPC labels, and floating hologram text — vanilla gives you no way to hide them without a resource pack hack. No Name Tags adds one keybind that wipes them all and another press to bring them back.
✨ Features
- One-key toggle (default F6, rebindable under Controls → Miscellaneous)
- Hides player name tags — including the scoreboard team prefix/suffix line above usernames
- Hides mob and entity custom names — villagers, named pets, named armor stands
- Hides TextDisplay entities — the floating-text entity used by modern server NPCs and hologram plugins
- Chat confirmation on every toggle so you always know which state you’re in
- Pure client-side — install on your client, works on any server, no server install needed
- Zero FPS impact — cancels rendering at the source instead of drawing-then-hiding
- Plays nicely with shaders, HUD mods, and screenshot tools
- Works in singleplayer, LAN, Realms, and multiplayer servers
- Fabric and NeoForge both supported — same behavior on both
- No config file needed — one keybind is the whole UI

❓ FAQ
Does the server need this mod?
No — it’s 100% client-side. Install it once and use it on any server, vanilla or modded.
Does it hide hologram NPCs on servers?
Yes — both old-style armor-stand holograms and modern TextDisplay-based ones get hidden by the same toggle.
Can I change the keybind?
Yes — open Options → Controls → Key Binds and look under the Miscellaneous category.
Does the toggle persist across restarts?
No — name tags are visible by default every launch. Press F6 once to disable again.
Does this hide my own name tag?
The vanilla client doesn’t render your own name in first person anyway; in third person it’s hidden along with everything else while toggled off.
Will this get me banned on servers?
No — it only changes what your client renders, doesn’t modify packets, and doesn’t give you any in-game advantage.
Can I add this to my modpack?
Yes.
