Net Weight is a WIP mod that aims to be a complete overhaul to fishing. It was recently updated for the Modfest Mod Jam, but I did not have enough free time to implement most of what I had planned.
Currently the mod adds the ability to separate fishes by biome temperature, rain fall, height, or thunder. At a later date I will add even more fine-grained control, to allow for defining fish drops per biome.
You will also notice that you now need bait for fishing, valid baits are most seeds, potatoes, bread, and nether warts.
