Description
Neo-Forces is fan work, made for fun and never sold. Characters and designs from Marvel (including the Hulk, Red Hulk and the Abomination) belong to Marvel. Characters and designs from DC (including Superman, Zod, Faora, Jor-El and Kelex) belong to DC. Neo-Forces claims no ownership of any of them.
Build the hero. Earn the power.
Summary field: A meteor shower changed course and hit Earth. Awaken powers, fight, build suits and run the science.
Shorter, if the field needs it: Meteors, powers, suits and science.
A once-in-history meteor shower hits Earth, and the Horizon it leaves behind wakes powers in people. Neo-Forces gives you the whole road from there: awaken through exposure, near-death or the lab; become a gamma-born Hulk or a Kryptonian; swing on Web Shooters; learn eight fighting styles; design and fabricate your own suit; and run the labs, reactors and generators that make it all possible.
About: the Horizon Event
A once-in-history meteor shower is forecast. Mid-flight, the meteors change course and strike Earth. The Horizon, the effect of those impacts, awakens powers in the people it touches. Scientists study the fallen meteors to reproduce the awakening safely, without the radiation.
In your world, the Horizon Event plays out over several nights:
- A forecast, then comet nights in the sky.
- The impact night: a shower of meteors and one Horizon Core, whose coordinates are announced to everyone.
- Aftershocks, Horizon-touched mobs, radiation, and people waking up changed.
Each night rolls a Horizon Level from 1 to 10, and the aurora grows with it.
Features
Powers and awakening
- 16 power families, each with its own resource and overflow state: Pyro, Cryo, Storm, Kinetic, Void, Bio, Lumen, Gamma, Aero, Hydro, Geo, Psi, Velocity, Arcane, Tech and Feral.
- Nine-slot kits that open as your mastery grows: 99 abilities across 29 kinds, 11 Ultimates and 29 Fusion Icons, plus forms and 12 reactions.
- Up to five powers in one body (six with Bio), limited by how well they get along.
- Three ways to awaken: exposure to the Horizon, a near-death experience, or the lab. The Power Synthesizer turns meteorite fragments, a catalyst and genes into a Horizon Serum. A Null Serum burns out the last power you took.
- More than twenty hero serums, each brewed from its own formula, plus three spider strains.
The Hulk
- The gamma road: mine uranium, refine a Gamma Precursor, and read your own Compatibility Report first. Exposure has six possible outcomes, and smelting raw uranium has consequences.
- Rage and control: five Gamma Symbols, five Control stages, reversion, regeneration, and growth up to twice your size.
- A full kit: Strike, Grab, Leap, Dash, Slam, Ground Rip, Boulder Throw, Seismic Clap, Guard and HULK SMASH. Block destruction respects claims, spawn protection and mob griefing rules.
- Red Hulk, who builds heat and vents it, and the Abomination as a player power.
- Anti-Hulk science: suppressants, calming compounds, inhibitor darts and a Gamma Scanner.
The Kryptonian
- A story arc: an old farmstead hides a pod in its cellar. Its key calls a falling star, the scout ship's mind teaches you, and a Sunstone grows your Fortress out of the ice.
- Nine awakening stages on a solar reserve: flight, strength, lifting (up to a whole mountain), heat vision, freezing breath, speed, super senses, the thunderclap and the Super Flare.
- Real weaknesses: green, red and gold Kryptonite, red suns and red sun lamps. Lead stops green Kryptonite.
- Fighting like one: super punches, barrages, throws, flying tackles, launch-and-chase and heat vision clashes.
- A Kryptonian language of 48 original glyphs that you can write, a flyable scout craft, and an orbit dimension in full sunlight.
Web Shooters
- Swing and zip with Web Shooters in their own accessory slot: hold right-click to swing, left-click to zip.
- Wall crawling, web wings, spider sense, hanging, swing kicks and weblines up to 48 blocks that you can walk on.
- Web cartridges with four bays of 50 shots, and 17 suit styles.
Combat Mode and fighting styles
- Five-step strings, parries, guards and dodges with a perfect window, and Chain, Focus and Surge meters.
- Eight fighting styles: Ironstance, Counterline, Eight Limbs, Undertow, Skyhook, Anyblade, Wildside and Mirrordance. Pick a main and a second style, then master each from 1 to 5.
- 34 variations, six-slot builds, and a technique tree of 5 disciplines with 12 nodes each.
- Fights that read: posture, breath, leg damage, wall splats, knockdowns, clashes and comic-panel impact frames. Enemies telegraph: yellow means parry, violet means dodge.
Suits
- Tailoring Bench, Suit Forge, Fabrication Pod: design a suit in layers with emblems and wear, share it as a design code, then build it.
- A huge library: 280 whole-suit templates, more than 600 3D extras and 92 cape patterns. Recolouring keeps the original shading.
- Upgrades and living suits: 25 suit upgrades, 13 Tier III upgrades, capes that glide, and living suits that bond with you.
Weapons, relics and rings
- The Arsenal: 32 items with 3D models, plus batarangs and grappling guns.
- Relic weapons built from 243 part combinations, with runes and recall.
- 24 Mythic Relics, one of each per world, each with a seven-ability kit.
- Power rings with 7 Resonances, hard-light constructs and 10 mastery levels.
- Gadgets: a Gadget Belt, EMP charges, drones and AI chips you can talk to.
Science and energy
- Ten station lines across three tiers, from Tier I benches to Tier III machines.
- Eight generators, from combustion to the Meteor Reactor, with conduits and energy cells up to 16M FE.
- Chemistry: 118 elements, 175 compounds and 37 fluids, plus fission and fusion reactors.
- Genetics: extract, analyse and inject DNA from a 1,020-trait gene library in 18 categories.
- New ores: titanium, adamantium, cobalt, radium, thorium, uranium, sulfur, crystals and vibranium meteorites.
Medicine and the Contagion Lab
- Blood that matters: blood types, bleeding, bandages, medkits and blood bags.
- A working lab: a centrifuge, an incubator, a bio analyzer, and a serum synthesizer that makes cures and vaccines.
- Contagion: strains unique to each world, four ways to spread and 26 symptoms, drawn on the body in 3D. Lethal disease is off by default.
Meteors and the Horizon Core
- Eight meteor kinds, each with its own hazard.
- Craters with real impact: they melt and throw out the ground they hit.
- The Horizon Core is the prize. It is radioactive, so carry a Lead Case, wear lead lining, and watch your dosimeter.
Bosses
- Zod finds the first player to awaken as a Kryptonian and scales to them. His armour breaks as you wear him down.
- Faora is faster than Zod and doesn't come back once beaten.
- The Abomination hunts Hulks at night and fights in four phases.
Places to find
- The Kryptonian farmstead and two Gamma laboratories generate in the world. Cartographers sell maps to them.
- The crashed scout ship comes down where everyone can see it fall.
- Your Fortress grows where you plant the Sunstone, and the orbital outpost waits above.
- Meteor craters appear wherever the Horizon Event strikes.
Guide books and advancements
- Five guide books with 590 pages and animated scenes: the Field Guide, Power Codex, Fighting Manual, Lab Manual and Medical Handbook.
- More than 250 advancements across eight tabs, written to make you laugh.
Getting started
You start with three books: the Field Guide, the Power Codex and the Fighting Manual. Press B at any time to open the Codex.
- Read the Field Guide. It explains the Horizon Event and what to prepare before impact night.
- Learn to fight. Press R for Combat Mode and pick a fighting style from the Fighting Manual.
- Watch the sky. When the forecast comes, get lead gear ready. The Horizon Core is worth the trip, and the radiation is real.
- Build a Tailoring Bench. It is the first station on the road to your own suit.
- Choose your road. Awaken by exposure, by surviving near death, or in the lab with the Power Synthesizer. Or go after something bigger: buy an Old Farm map from a cartographer to start the Kryptonian story, or brave a Gamma laboratory.

Running a server? Set allow-flight=true in server.properties. Otherwise players riding a webline or flying get kicked.
FAQ
Will a meteor wreck my base? By default, yes: a crater takes whatever it lands on. Set craterSafety to BUILDINGS in the server config, and craters slide away from any chunk with a container, bed, furnace or station.
Can disease kill me? Not unless your server turns lethal contagion on. It is off by default.
Does it work in multiplayer? Yes, it is built for servers and single player alike. Remember allow-flight=true on servers.
Can I have every power? No. One body holds up to five powers (six with Bio), and some powers refuse to share.
Can I build an addon, or use Neo-Forces as a base for my own mod? No. See Permissions below.
Is it finished? No. Neo-Forces is in beta and still growing. Balance numbers will change as players test it.
Coming next: the city update (planned)
The next big update brings Neo-Forces into town. Everything here is planned and may change before it ships.
- Places worth the trip. Every structure gets furnished properly and gets better rewards, and the nearest one of each kind will sit within 6,000 blocks of spawn.
- Furniture and fixtures for real buildings: shelves, seating, lighting, screens, doors and elevators, and pieces bigger than a single block.
- A connected world: cabled networks and wifi, smartphones with an app store, texting and calls, and home phones.
- A city economy: a bank, standing with the city, contracts that pay, and licenses that open doors.
- New gear: firearms and a taser that work with Combat Mode, bikes, food, and collectible plushies and minifigures.
