Zombie Apocalypse Evolution – AI Overhaul & Difficulty Scaling

Blood Moon System & Burning

The chance of a Blood Moon rises over time. During a Blood Moon, hordes of zombies continuously spawn and aggressively hunt the player.
A warning is broadcast at dawn before a Blood Moon night.
Zombie burning behaviour is configurable (e.g. toggle daylight burning). After a set number of days, zombies become immune to lava and campfires.

Zombie Behaviour & Group Dynamics

Zombies can see through walls and obstacles – hiding inside buildings won't save you.
They follow each other, so they tend to move in large groups.
Zombies jump repeatedly to close the gap or leap at the player.
They can swim and are no longer trapped by boats or minecarts.
Zombies can stack on top of each other.
Zombie spawns replace other mob spawns (configurable).

Looting & Equipment

Zombies actively search nearby chests and equip the best items based on enchantments, durability, and quality.
Their equipment quality scales with the number of days passed (configurable).
They can pick up and use weapons from the ground.
Zombies can wear a dispenser on their head, firing arrows, dragon's breath, harmful potions, fire charges, fireballs, shulker bullets, and more.

Combat & Ranged Attacks

Zombies throw TNT with improved accuracy and a chance to explode instantly.
They throw Ender Pearls to teleport close to the player.
They can use bows, crossbows, and tridents, and can throw tridents.
Zombies raise shields when near the player to harass you (they cannot attack while shielding).
When TACZ is installed (optional), zombies can equip firearms (except machine guns) with full compatibility.
They throw beneficial potions to other zombies and harmful potions at players.

Pathfinding & Block Interaction

Zombies identify and break specific blocks that block their path.
They have advanced pathfinding and can even ride phantoms.

Announcements & Configuration

Day/night changes and Blood Moon warnings are shown via title and chat.
Almost everything is configurable: spawn rates, behaviour probabilities, Blood Moon chance, attribute multipliers, time‑scaling, and more.
