Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Changelog
- Eldritch Mobs is now an optional dependency. Without it, hostile mobs are promoted by a gear-weighted chance and use the mod's own scaling and buffs; with it, its ranked mobs and modifiers are used as before.
- Each player now has their own private Nemesis roster (previously shared across all players and per-dimension).
- Fixed Nemeses that stopped spawning after reaching higher levels — a lost ambusher now correctly returns to hiding and can strike again.
- Nemesis titles now evolve as a single name instead of stacking epithets. Milestones grant a matching signature ability — e.g. "Zog the Zombie" becomes "Zog the Undying" (regeneration) at level 5, "the Dread" at 8, and "the Overlord" at 10.
- Added unique abilities (traits) that Nemeses gain as they level: Venomous, Vampiric, Frostborn, Berserker, Swift, Unbroken, Unyielding, Volatile, Caller, Elusive, Infernal, Withering, Hexer, Stormborn, Juggernaut, Plaguebearer, and Pouncer.
- Cheat-death scars now set the Nemesis's title and grant a matching ability (e.g. "the Burned" → Infernal). Cheating death now happens only once per Nemesis.
- Added a boss bar for every Nemesis at all levels, showing name, level, rank, and health.
- Added Warband Politics — retreated Nemeses feud (one slays another and rises), form alliances, or grow stronger on their own, roughly every 30 minutes.
- Added team-up ambushes, where allied Nemeses can attack you together.
- Lower-level Nemeses now retreat far more often, while high-level ones stand and fight.
- Leveling is much slower and now has a level cap — retreating no longer grants levels, and background level-ups are rarer.
- Added dramatic death reactions (particles and sounds for cheating death vs. final death).
- Added many more Nemesis names and greatly expanded, context-aware taunts.
/nemesiscommands are now operator-only, with/nemesis reset allto wipe every online player's roster.- Removed the MoreMobVariants dependency.
