Description
NauTec 2 is a ground-up continuation of NauTec for Minecraft 26.1.2 on NeoForge. The ocean is still where everything happens, but almost every system has been rebuilt or added since the original ModJam release: laser power you aim by line of sight, bacteria colonies you breed into resource farms, fusion plants, submarines and wireless power networks that reach any dimension.
Getting Started
Everything starts with finding yourself some prismarine. Dig Prismarine Sand on beaches and ocean floors for shards or fish them up in our new lucky fishing zones. Build an Aquatic Catalyst, and firin' your laserz. The beams carry power (AP) and a purity value, and better recipes need purer beams.
Drop Aquarine Steel Compound into the beam to make Aquarine Steel, the metal most recipes use. Item transformation works by throwing items into a laser, so mind your fingers lest the beams burn them off.
The oceans are deeper than in vanilla, so make a Diving Suit early. Ruins, buried crystal geodes, rusted crates and sunken research outposts on the sea floor hold most of the early materials.
You get the NauTec 2 Guide the first time you join a world. It is an in-game GuideMe book with 3D scenes of every multiblock, and holding the guide key over any NauTec item opens its page. Use JEI too.

Laser Power and Beam Optics
- Route beams with mirrors, junctions, beam splitters, focusing lenses and relays.
- Fire a beam into a Prismarine Crystal to raise it to purity 3.0, then grow Cultivated Prismarine Crystals of your own and move them anywhere.
- Convert FE from other mods into AP with the Energy Converter.
Aquatic Biology
- Graft bacteria from the sea floor, then mutate, analyze and incubate them into dozens of strains that make stone, ores, gems and other mods' metals. Supports all modded materials to fully automate and mass produce resources. Competitive with popular mods like Mystical Agriculture and Productive Bees for resource farming.
- Breed colony stats over generations, then copy your best colony with the Colony Replicator.
- Farm resources in the Bio Reactor and the 9-colony Industrial Bio Reactor, with speed, yield and efficiency upgrades.
- Burn colonies in a Bacterial Fuel Cell for a pure laser beam.
- Every bacteria machine has a Dish Port, so the whole chain can be automated.

Automation
- Side configuration on every machine, set from its screen or with the Aquarine Steel Wrench.
- The Nautechnical Distributor collects outputs and keeps inputs stocked across 256 blocks with no pipes, for machines from any mod.
- Configuration Cards copy a machine's settings to the next one.
Deep Engineering
- The Abyssal Pressure Forge works under the weight of the sea.
- The Fusion Plant is a multiblock reactor built around a cultivated crystal. It burns Salt Water into up to 700,000 FE/t with satellite crystals in its corners.
- Gateways: ring-shaped portals you dial by address.

- The Atlantean Rifle is a charged particle beam weapon. With Apotheosis installed it takes bow gems.
Wireless Power
- Energy Nodes share FE across a network with no cables, and Abyssal Energy Nodes reach other dimensions.
- Launch a Prism Satellite from an Uplink Array to give a network a core that carries laser power and FE anywhere.
- Resonance Nodes are small plug-in blocks that feed power into a network's core from anywhere, or draw it back out as FE or a laser beam, in any dimension.
- The Prismatic Emitter powers nearby machines over crystal tethers, and the Resonance Charm charges your gear from the network wherever you are.

Exploration and the Sea
- New ocean biomes, including the Bioluminescent Grove, Prismarine Reef, Abyssal Trench and Hydrothermal Vents.
- Sunken research outposts, ruins, geodes and salvage.
- The Sea Scout submarine with swappable modules, and the Wave Jet.
- Fishing with a minigame, the Bubble Anchor, the Oxygen Diffuser and pressure hatches for building underwater bases.

Laser Augmentation
- Rebuild your body part by part at the Augmentation Station, with crafted augments and ones taken from deep sea creatures.
