The far lands were a well known world generation bug caused by the conversion of doubles to ints, and were there in the early days of Minecraft. Those far lands were so popular that mods have been made to intentionally reproduce them. One of them is ... wait ... The Modernity?! That was not intended! It seemed that the far lands actually existed in the Modernity from the very first version... Seemingly nice, but they are actually a curse: they were 4 times closer to the origin than expected... Aside from that, using the Modernity on a dedicated server caused it to crash almost immediately!

The far lands did that! I know it for sure!

Nope! After I removed the far lands, the server issue was still there... Fortunately, this update fixes that issue, and removes the far lands...

  • Fixed several dist-issues that made the dedicated server distribution crash
  • Fixed the far lands: the Modernity can be explored from world border to world border... Behind the world border, there is a hard limit! (don't mind, that's an area of 1200000000000000 m2, about 2352479 times the surface area of earth!!)

Far lands: "There's no stopping me! I'll be back!"
Me: "Okay okay, you'll get a config option!"
