Narrate Chat Mod

Minecraft comes with a builtin narrator. For this narrator, there are three narration options available:

• Narrates All
• Narrates Chat
• Narrates System

Regardless of other thoughts on this matter, there are some people who would like a fourth option. The "Narrates Chat" option only narrates messages sent publicly through the Minecraft chat between users. Whispers and system messages (e.g. players joining or leaving, achievements, etc.) however are not narrated. The "Narrates System" option narrates a large amount of system messages, including all system messages which pass through the chat interface, but it adds a lot more narration which can also feel a bit too noisy. So a fourth option of narration could be to narrate all and only chat interface messages, whether they are public chat messages from users or whispers or system messages.

This mod should behave like that fourth option.

(Please note that this mod is a Fabric mod and requires the Fabric API to be present in the mods folder.)

Configuration

In order to use the mod, a new narrator option inside the Options... > Accessibility Settings... > Narrator settings was added. Click through until the Narrator is set to "Custom - All Chats".
