mysticalterrain-1.0.3.jar
Curse Maven Snippet
What's new
Mystical Terrain 1.1.0
New: 200 blocks
- 12 wood sets, one per realm: Mystwood, Maple, Rimewood, Charwood, Silverbark, Ginkgo, Gloamwood, Palm, Cypress, Olive, Sporewood and Starbark. Each has a log, wood, stripped log and wood, planks, stairs, slab, fence, fence gate, door and trapdoor.
- 15 leaves and 2 mushroom caps, 10 stones with bricks, 9 soils and 22 plants (11 flowers that craft into dyes).
- Realistic 32x textures with labPBR normal and specular maps, so shaders give them depth and make embers, runes, stars and glowcaps glow.
- They have their own creative tab, and they're also in vanilla's Building Blocks and Natural Blocks tabs.
- 486 biomes now build their trees, flowers, boulders, soil and caves from them.
New: 16x textures
- Press F7 to switch the mod's blocks between 32x and 16x, or turn on the built-in Mystical Terrain 16x resource pack.
- It covers every block and item, including doors, leaves and creative tab icons, and has its own 16x PBR maps.
- The key can be changed under Controls → Mystical Terrain.
New: 12 seas and caves based on real places
- Sponge Reef: sponge vases and mounds on cold, deep gravel.
- Whale Fall Deep: whale bones lying on dark abyssal mud.
- Seamount Pinnacles: stone pinnacles rising off the seabed, with kelp and coral.
- Sunken Forest: bare trunks of a drowned forest standing in the mud.
- Bioluminescent Bay: sand crowded with glowing sea pickles.
- Dropstone Shelf: a polar seabed strewn with boulders dropped by the ice.
- Limestone Caverns, Glowworm Grotto, Lava Tubes, Guano Roost, Ironstone Caverns and Cascade Caverns.
These are spread across the Heartland regions, which brings the overworld to 1035 new biomes.
New: undergrowth everywhere
Every land biome, vanilla's included, now fills in between the trees:
- leafy bushes made from the local wood
- fallen logs with moss and mushrooms on them
- leaf litter under broadleaf woods
- berry and bush shrubs
- ferns and long grass
- mushrooms in damp woods
- fireflies by the water
Dry realms get dry grass instead, and jungles get the most of all.
Changed
- Ember seas and lava lands: the flat magma sheets are now thin glowing cracks through dark basalt, with short vent chimneys on the seabed. This applies to Steamvent Sea, Magma Reef, Abyssal Vents, Ember peaks and dry lands, and Magma Chambers.
Fixed
- Trees no longer grow on top of other trees, including crowns made of mushroom caps, froglights or ice.
- Big trees' roots follow the slope they stand on instead of floating over it as blocky log roots.
- Jungle buttress roots are low, thick and curved instead of thin walls climbing the trunk.
- Banyans hold up their crowns on separate pillar roots instead of solid curtains of wood.
- Rock spires no longer leave floating squares of stone or magma on slopes and underwater ledges.
Notes
- Start a new world to see the terrain changes. Chunks you've already explored keep their old trees and ground.
- As before, the mod has to be installed on both the server and every player's game.
