✦ MysteryBox ✧
Risk something valuable—or take the safe reward. The choice is yours.
MysteryBox is a lightweight risk-and-reward mod that adds a mysterious interactive block with guaranteed payouts, randomized reward bundles, animated visuals, custom sounds, advancements, and a carefully hidden secret.

How It Works
Approach a MysteryBox while carrying an accepted payment item. The reward interface presents two choices:
- Guaranteed Payout: Receive the displayed reward with no risk.
- Mystery Gift: Gamble your payment for a randomized bundle containing 1–4 rewards.
Higher-tier payments provide significantly better chances of receiving valuable or mythic rewards. Lower-tier payments are cheaper but carry a greater chance of common loot.
Rewards remain balanced around legitimate Minecraft gameplay. Enchanted equipment uses valid vanilla enchantment levels—nothing intentionally impossible or game-breaking.

Proximity Effects
When you move within 6 blocks of a placed MysteryBox:
- Its violet glowing outline becomes visible.
- A custom MysteryBox Boss Bar appears.
- Its animated floating title and atmospheric particles create a distinctive magical presence.
These effects are distance-limited to keep the mod smooth and lightweight.
Guide Book
Crafting your first MysteryBox unlocks the yellow A MysteryBox?! advancement, launches celebratory fireworks, and awards a written guide book.
The guide explains:
- Every payment tier
- All guaranteed payouts
- Alternative and bonus rewards
- How Mystery Gift odds work
- How higher-tier payments improve your luck
- How to replace a lost guide
The guide is awarded only once. Crafting additional MysteryBoxes will not fill your inventory with duplicate books.
If your guide is lost, obtain another copy with:
/mysterybox book
Rumors suggest that MysteryBox may contain more than its reward interface reveals—but discovering its secret is up to you.
