Muscle Memory

Five skill branches that level themselves. Fighting feeds Combat, mining feeds Mining - and each branch spends only its own points. Passive buffs, active abilities on a keybind, and uncapped mastery once a branch is done.

What's new

1.3.1

Smelting counts every item, not every trip to the furnace. Craft progress was a flat 4 whether you took one ingot out or a stack of sixty-four, which is why the branch felt impossible to level. The furnace fires its event once when the output slot is emptied, however much was in it, and the mod was paying per event instead of per item. Reported by user_ycyk8fq5c6h3ei62 - thank you.

The same mistake was in two Craft nodes, and both are fixed with it:

  • Smelter rolls its chance once per item smelted rather than once per stack taken, so at three ranks a furnace load now yields around a fifth again as much instead of one extra ingot at best.
  • Apprentice pays one experience per rank per item, where it used to pay a flat two per rank for the whole stack.

Crafting is not affected. It looks like the same bug from the outside, but the game fires the crafting event once per craft - shift-clicking a stack of torches fires it once per set of four - so the reward already follows the work done. It stays per craft rather than per item on purpose: reversible recipes mean anything paid per crafted item can be looped forever, which is the trap Bulk Work fell into in 1.2.0.
