Can I use the mod in fabric?
In reply to Reggiewaffel:
This is the Forge version, here is the one you need: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/multibeds-fabric
I would like to report a problem where any colored pillow or just pillow i place in the bed it turns to the only color black. How to fix this?
best custom bed mod
So I am trying to apply my custom pattern onto my bed, I have a blanket on it and I am using the embroidery thread. When I try to apply my custom pattern and I hit apply it doesn't add the design to the bed. Is this common? Am I doing something wrong?
In reply to MichiYumi:
I was going to ask you to post on the issue tracker so we can troubleshoot without filling up this comment section, but I see you've already done so.
Hi! Any idea how to get it to work for 1.18.1? I had no problems in 1.16.5, and it's my favorite bed mod!
In reply to FeralPossum:
Newest builds are 1.18.2 only due to compatibility breaking changes Mojang made to the Tag system.
Last builds that work in 1.18.1 are: MultiBeds 1.9.3 & ShetiPhianCore 3.10.4
In reply to ShetiPhian:
Thank you so much, that combo works perfectly! :D
Do you perhaps know why when I install this my crafting recipes for stuff changes?
In reply to majorsheepish:
I don't modify recipes only add my own, but there is always a change for a conflict. If two recipes are the same one of them will be uncraftable.
What recipe of mine is overwriting another? and what is the one being overwritten?
If its not that a recipe is being overwritten (the output is a different) but rather my beds, ladders, and cloth are appearing in other recipes; That is just how Minecrafts tag system works. For example, if a recipe calls for any bed then in addition to the default beds mine can be used
In reply to ShetiPhian:
It just the vanilla crafting recipes, like a crafting table which turned into a pressure plate and then duplicated my wood.
This is also in 1.12.2 if it matters
In reply to majorsheepish:
I checked with the last 1.12 build (1.4.7)
JEI shows the correct recipes and crafting works as expected.
My guess is something is interacting with the recipe system in a odd way and its likely breaking when new recipe types are added. (Embroidery Thread uses one to refill)
I take it since your on 1.12 updating to 1.16+ isn't an option. So that only leaves a couple of options.
- downgrade multibeds to 1.4.4, you'll loose all of the new beds and features that was backported from 1.14, but it has no special recipes so should work.
- add one mod at a time until you find the conflicting one. Then see if there is a update or if its still has active 1.12 development.
- last option is to remove one of the two conflicting mods, depending on which has the features you want the most.
Are there any mod conflicts because when I tried loading this into my modpack’s server it crashes it
In reply to RichieB13579:
Not that I know of.
What was the crash & stacktrace?
Bruh, is it just me or is the beds invisible when I place it?
In reply to MrDifferentYT:
In the past OptiFine was breaking the Forge model loader and OptiForge was required, but that resulted in the missing model (purple and black cube).
I'm not aware of any conflict that causes the models not to render.
(at least not in the Forge versions, in Fabric if the rendering api is bypassed the models intentionally become invisible rather then crash the game. Indium usually fixes it as Sodium is what breaks it)
Is there a way to disable the vanilla beds for more of an early game challenge with this mod?
In reply to zaplinplays:
Not within the mod, but using a resource pack it can be done.
You can stop the crafting by replacing the bed recipes with ones that output minecraft:air
As for beds in villages:
While you could replace the village structure files to remove them, this is both a lot of additional work and would cause issues as a bed is required for a valid home.
What can be done is replace the bed loot tables to drop sticks and string so that beds can't be stolen from a village but can be used while your in the village.
I cant find the 1.18.1 version.
