Mr Hobbit's Dungeon 3.0
Every update in the 3.0 line, newest first.
3.0.0
- Waystones: beat a boss once and you can start later runs right after it, instead of replaying the early floors every time.
- Waystone floors are the first floor after each boss: 6, 16, 26, 36... You unlock one by reaching that floor in a run that counts (a death on it counts too).
- After the leader picks the difficulty, a second on-screen menu asks where to start: "Floor 1 (from the top)" or any waystone. In a party you can only pick waystones everyone has. Nobody picks within 60 seconds: floor 1.
- Starting at a waystone hands everyone a kit for that depth (the resurrection shrine's: leather or iron armor, a shield, an iron or diamond sword, a bow and arrows, food), plus two splash potions of healing and some gold for the shrines.
- The floors you skip score nothing. Everything from the waystone on scores as usual, and the run records where it started.
- Where waystones come from: with online scoring on, mrhobbits.com works them out from your accepted runs (the mod never claims them), so they follow you to any server or single player world. With online scoring off, from this server's own score log. Floor 6 starts on an Aether floor, as floor 6 always is.
- Scoring rules version 3. The website now accepts runs that start at a waystone, so this is version 3.0.0. Website plugin 1.8.0 (upload it first; see below): checks a waystone start is one the player has reached in an accepted run, adds a
/progressfeed, a "Started" column on the leaderboard, and a database column (added automatically). Older mods get the friendly "out of date" message, and a run from a waystone the site doesn't know about gets a clear message too. - Because the plaza boards show only the version the server runs, the boards start fresh on 3.0.0.
