🗼 Beacon Overhaul — Material-Based Powers

This mod completely reimagines how beacons work by removing the GUI and instead making their effects depend on the material used for their base.

🧱 How It Works

To activate a beacon:

Build the entire base (all layers) using one single block type
The beacon’s effect is based on that block
No more interaction needed — just build it!

🪨 Beacon Effects by Material

Netherite	Instantly removes nearby hostile mobs
Diamond	Regeneration
Gold	Haste
Iron	Resistance
Coal	Night Vision
Emerald	Saturation
Redstone	Vision (NEW effect)
Copper	Jump Boost
Amethyst	Strength
Lapis	Invisibility
Quartz	Speed

🆕 New Effect: Vision

Like Glowing, but smarter.
Highlights mobs through walls, but only for the player under the effect.

Scales with beacon level
Only visible to the player

📏 Range & Power

Beacon range increases with each level, with diminishing returns
Level 4 beacons automatically grant Level II of the effect

🌀 In Development

I have ideas for weather-changing beacons, but that’s on hold for now.
Otherwise, the mod is feature complete.
