🗼 Beacon Overhaul — Material-Based Powers
This mod completely reimagines how beacons work by removing the GUI and instead making their effects depend on the material used for their base.
🧱 How It Works
To activate a beacon:
- Build the entire base (all layers) using one single block type
- The beacon’s effect is based on that block
- No more interaction needed — just build it!
🪨 Beacon Effects by Material

| Netherite | Instantly removes nearby hostile mobs |
| Diamond | Regeneration |
| Gold | Haste |
| Iron | Resistance |
| Coal | Night Vision |
| Emerald | Saturation |
| Redstone | Vision (NEW effect) |
| Copper | Jump Boost |
| Amethyst | Strength |
| Lapis | Invisibility |
| Quartz | Speed |
🆕 New Effect: Vision
Like Glowing, but smarter.
Highlights mobs through walls, but only for the player under the effect.
- Scales with beacon level
- Only visible to the player
📏 Range & Power
- Beacon range increases with each level, with diminishing returns
- Level 4 beacons automatically grant Level II of the effect
🌀 In Development
I have ideas for weather-changing beacons, but that’s on hold for now.
Otherwise, the mod is feature complete.
