Misty Dale Fixes
Targeted fixes for mods of the Misty Dale modpack on Minecraft 26.2 / NeoForge 26.2.0.88. Every fix was found with a profiler or a log, fixed at the exact call that is wrong, and checked in an A/B test. Each one is optional: if its target mod is absent or changes, the fix does nothing. The mod ships no files of other mods — their resources are corrected in memory while the game reads them.
| Mod | Problem | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Balm / Waystones | missing config keys pass validation, so the config is rewritten in an endless loop (sometimes a crash) | invalid values are rejected |
| Immersive Melodies | the MIDI thread is not a daemon, so the game process never exits | daemon thread, no software sequencer |
| Chef's Workbench | every appliance scans all recipes every tick | lookups cached until the next data reload |
| Twilight Forest (Re26) | the biome layer cache serialises all world-generation threads | lock-free cache: 2.5x faster chunk generation there |
| Twilight Forest (Re26) | the rain check walks 32 blocks up for every entity every tick | skipped when no cloud block is near (verified on 7 million calls) |
| Twilight Forest (Re26) | the JEI plugin crashes on special recipes and on LAN clients | uncrafting, smithing and scepter repair recipes show again |
| Continuity | overlays asking for a missing tint layer crash chunk meshing | drawn untinted, as OptiFine does |
| Cube Animals | crocodiles rescan a whole square for land every 2 ticks (swamp TPS 8) | ring scan with a pause: TPS 20 |
| Naturalist | the hippo spawn check reads neighbour chunks during world generation (90 MB of log per 40 minutes) | only the chunk being generated |
| Saros Fruit Trees, Animal Weights, Starcatcher, Graveyard | advancements and recipes in pre-26.x formats are rejected | converted when loaded |
| Tables & Chairs, GraveStone, Saros, Voxelized Furniture, Selling Bin | models point to textures that do not exist | references fixed |
| Skniro / Voxelized Furniture, Chef's Workbench | sprites whose size is not a multiple of 16 turn mipmaps off for all blocks | scaled up when loaded (pixel-identical) |
| Better Village 4.0.0 | four corrupt village pieces, so villages lose those houses | the game's own piece is used instead |
| Misty Dale resource pack | 13 extra block transitions (sand, gravel, clay, ice, nylium, sandstone…) need tiles cut from Excalibur's art, which may not be redistributed | the tiles are drawn while loading from the packs you have: Excalibur's edge shapes filled with the block's current texture |
