MineTuner HUD 1.4.3

Improvements

  • Lighter rendering: the HUD does far less work per frame. Gradient colours are no longer rebuilt for every pixel column of every graph, number formatting and text measuring no longer allocate, and graph rows are cached instead of copying and re-smoothing up to 2,000 samples every frame.
  • Fewer config saves: editing in the HUD editor now writes minetuner.json at most once per second instead of on every click. Pending changes are always written when you close the editor, disconnect from a world, or quit the game.
  • Real text editing: the rename, template line and stat search boxes now support arrow keys, Home/End, selection, and Ctrl+A/C/X/V, with a blinking caret. Long text is clipped to its box instead of spilling out, and the § formatting code is rejected instead of being saved into names where it would corrupt the display.
  • Clearer benchmark state: the screen now tells you when a run stopped automatically after reaching its sample cap, and the start button reads Restart while a recording is live so you can't accidentally throw a run away.
  • Easier stat reordering: the reorder panel gains ◀ ▶ paging arrows, highlights the row under the cursor, and no longer jumps back to the top when you expand or collapse a category.
  • Safer destructive actions: the delete confirmation now names the list it is about to delete, deleting a template line asks for a quick two-step confirmation, and saving a theme over a built-in theme's name shows an error instead of failing silently.
  • Unsaved text protection: clicking outside the rename or template box with uncommitted changes now warns you first instead of silently discarding what you typed.
  • Prefix hiding is translation-proof: hiding a stat's prefix (in templates and with prefixes off) no longer depends on the ": " inside translated strings. Stat labels are declared separately, so translated text can be reworded freely without breaking stripping.
  • Command feedback: /minetuner with no arguments now lists its subcommands, and /minetuner benchmark start|stop|save gives the same feedback as the keybinds.

Fixes

  • Fixed frametime thresholds. When the config loaded, custom warning and bad cut-offs were collapsed onto the good cut-off, leaving the yellow band unreachable. Defaults are now 16.7 ms and 33.3 ms, matching the built-in colour bands.
  • Fixed editor clicks going to the wrong panel when two popups could be open at once. Click handling now follows the same panel priority as rendering, and renaming or editing a template from inside another panel returns to that panel instead of the editor canvas.
  • Fixed right-click opening a context menu in the middle of dragging a list, and the dragged box now follows size changes while you drag.
  • Fixed clicks in the reorder panel landing on the wrong row while the list was still scrolling into place.
  • Fixed + Create new list (from the empty-space menu) not placing the new list where you right-clicked.
  • Fixed Speed reading roughly 0 while riding a boat, minecart or horse.
  • Fixed distance from spawn in the Nether and the End showing a meaningless cross-dimension number; it now shows no value there.
  • Fixed the Threshold panel's direction subtitle drawing on top of the first row ("Use Custom Thresholds").
  • Fixed an empty rename clearing a list's name.
  • Fixed a small memory leak that kept animation state for deleted lists.
  • Fixed hardware sensor polling not stopping cleanly on config reload or when leaving a world, which could briefly report stale sensor values.
