Mine’s Tool Switch is a lightweight Fabric client mod by Fox Studios / teolm30 for Minecraft 26.2.
When you begin breaking a block, it checks only your nine hotbar slots and selects the best vanilla-effective tool available. It uses Minecraft’s real destroy-speed and correct-tool logic, so pickaxes, axes, shovels, hoes, shears, and compatible modded tools are evaluated naturally.
It never searches the full inventory, moves items, alters durability, changes mining speed, or adds automation. It also avoids repeated switching while you continue mining the same block.
Press K by default (rebindable in Controls) to toggle the feature. An action-bar message confirms whether Tool Switch is ON or OFF; the setting is remembered locally.
Works client-side in singleplayer and multiplayer, Survival and Creative. Requires Minecraft 26.2, Fabric Loader 0.19.3+, Fabric API 0.158.0+26.2+, and Java 25.
