Fighting Style Progression Rework
- Dial, Eight-Arm Style, and Shipwright abilities now unlock through MMNM 1.20.1's training point system instead of being handed directly from trial completions.
- Trainer trials now reward training points that can be spent in the ability tree.
- Dial trials reward Technology Points.
- Shipwright Builder and Shipwright Warrior trials reward Technology Points.
- Eight-Arm Master trials reward Martial Arts Points.
- Ability costs now follow the new MMNM progression curve.
- Starter moves generally cost 2 points.
- Mid-tree moves scale upward through the path.
- Ultimate or high-end moves cost 10 points.
- Trial chains still matter, but they now feed the skill tree instead of directly unlocking every move.
- Completing trainer trials gives the points needed to buy the matching abilities.
- Prerequisites in the tree still guide players through each style's intended progression path.
Dial Point System
- Dial Master trials now grant Technology Points from early starter rewards up to the 10-point Flame Manipulation trial.
- Dial abilities now use Technology Point unlock costs.
- Flame Wave starts the Dial tree at 2 Technology Points.
- Eisen Shield, Breath Burst, Milky Road, Impact Fist, Flash Dial Blast, and Axe Slash scale through the middle of the tree.
- Flame Manipulation is now the 10 Technology Point capstone unlock.
Eight-Arm Point System
- Eight-Arm Master trials now grant Martial Arts Points instead of directly unlocking Octo abilities.
- Eight-Arm abilities now use Martial Arts Point unlock costs.
- Octo-Pistol starts the style tree at 2 Martial Arts Points.
- Octo-Gatling, Octo-Whip, Octo-Grab, Octo-Shield, and Ink Cloud build through the middle of the path.
- Kraken Rage is now the 10 Martial Arts Point ultimate unlock.
Shipwright Point System
- Shipwright Builder and Shipwright Warrior trials now both reward Technology Points.
- Shipwright abilities now use Technology Point unlock costs across both building and combat paths.
- Building abilities were moved together on the left side of the skill tree for better readability.
- Combat and damage abilities were moved to the same side below the building path so the Shipwright tree is less cramped.
- Building Repair and Slash Rampage now sit as 10 Technology Point high-end unlocks for their paths.
UI and Compatibility
- Updated fighting style ability nodes to use MMNM's training point unlock and point subtraction rules.
