Mimic Tooth Necklace adds a new amulet for Baubles and RLArtifacts. Collect mimic teeth from mobs that got bit, craft your necklace, and add more teeth to increase your chances of finding a mimic inside an unopened treasure chest!
Features
- Upgrade your necklace: start with 1 tooth and add more via the crafting grid, up to 10.
- More mimic encounters: each tooth adds +1% for mimics spawn chance, capped at 100%.
- Spot unopened treasure: wearing the necklace highlights possible mimic chests through walls within 15 blocks.
- Wear your collection: each added tooth shows on the necklace around your character's neck!
- Reforgable: spectral silt and mimic teeth can be used to reforge with "Quality Tools" mod.
- In-game configuration: adjust both tooth drop chances, mimic spawn chance added per tooth, chest highlighting ability, and its range.
Getting started
Mimics have a 20% chance to drop a tooth. Other living mobs have a 0.1% chance in dimensions where RLArtifacts allows mimic encounters. Both values are configurable.
Craft the necklace with 5 string and 1 Mimic Tooth:
Equip it in your Baubles Amulet Slot. To upgrade it, place the necklace and additional Mimic Teeth in a crafting grid.
Compatibility and requirements
Requires Minecraft 1.12.2, Forge, Baubles, and RLArtifacts. Developed and tested against Baubles 1.5.2 and RLArtifacts 1.1.2, with RLCraft in mind. QualityTools compatible!
Install on both the client and server. Multiplayer uses the server's settings.
Highlighting only detects unopened chests with pre-generated loot tables in loaded chunks. It does not reveal every pre-filled structure chest, load chunks, or generate loot. RLArtifacts' dimension restrictions still apply.
