Description
MekaCrafter
Autocrafting for Mekanism's QIO. No cables, no interfaces, no pattern chests.
MekaCrafter adds one machine that plans and crafts recipes straight from a QIO frequency. Ask it for an item and it works out the whole recipe tree on its own: which intermediates to craft, how many of each, and whether your stored materials are enough. Then it crafts everything virtually, out of and back into your QIO storage.
Keep only base materials in your QIO (redstone, gold, alloys, circuits…) and let the machine turn them into an Absolute Induction Cell.
Features
- Recursive autocrafting. Request a deep item (induction cells, energy cubes, providers…) and the machine resolves the full chain, thousands of crafts if needed. No patterns to encode, ever.
- QIO-native. Materials come from the bound frequency and results go back into it. The machine stores nothing but energy.
- Crafting table and stonecutter recipes. Stone bricks, slabs and the like are planned too.
- Exact missing-materials list. When something is missing you get the complete list of base materials to supply, at once, with the amounts. Hover an entry to see what it is needed for and whether it must be made in another machine (control circuits, alloys…).
- Mekanism-style window. The list opens in a draggable window inside the GUI, like the upgrades window, and can be pinned so it reopens on its own.
- Stock aware. Charged energy tablets, renamed items and other variants count as stock.
- Job queue. Up to 24 requests with intermediate sub-jobs, progress bar with total energy and time left, cancel and clear buttons.
- Behaves like a Mekanism machine. Configurable energy usage per tick (400 FE/t by default), energy upgrades, energy in from any side, active LED animation. Without energy it pauses and resumes without losing progress or materials.
- Safe by design. Materials are reserved before crafting and returned on cancel or failure. A server restart mid-craft returns the materials to the QIO and re-plans the job: no dupes, no voids.
- Light on the server. Planning runs on its own thread; big recipe trees do not freeze the tick.
Interface
Search any craftable item, set the amount, press Craft and watch the queue. The status panel shows the frequency, what the machine is doing and its energy usage at all times.

The Missing button opens the missing-materials window with the full list and the "needed for" tooltips.
Getting started

- Craft the machine (endgame recipe, see below).
- Bind a frequency: right-click the machine with a Portable QIO Dashboard that has your frequency selected.
- Power it with any Mekanism cable or Forge Energy source.
- Right-click to open the GUI, search an item, set the amount and press Craft.
- If something is missing, open Missing, put those items in the QIO and press Craft again.
Crafting recipe
| Ultimate Induction Provider | Supermassive QIO Drive | Ultimate Induction Provider |
| Supermassive QIO Drive | Robit | Supermassive QIO Drive |
| Ultimate Induction Provider | Supermassive QIO Drive | Ultimate Induction Provider |
It is meant as a late-game reward: by the time you can afford four Supermassive QIO Drives, you really do not want to hand-craft induction matrices anymore.
Requirements
| Minecraft | 1.21.1 (NeoForge 21.1.100+, Java 21) |
| Required | Mekanism 10.7.19+ |
| Optional | Mekanism Extras (its items are supported) |
| Sides | Client and server (same version on both) |
| Minecraft | Loader |
| --------- | -------- |
| 1.21.1 | NeoForge |
For Forge 1.20.1 use Mekacrafter 0.2.0 (no longer maintained).
Configuration
config/mekacrafter-server.toml: energy usage per tick, energy storage, ticks per craft and fixed ticks per job.
Good to know
- Only crafting table and stonecutter recipes are automated. Items made in Mekanism machines (circuits, alloys, ingots from ore…) show up in the missing list as materials to supply.
- Frequency binding needs the Portable QIO Dashboard; there is no frequency selector in the GUI yet.
