Power is actually consumed from the source item. This is not free or creative-style wireless charging.
Datapacks may extend the charging source tag with additional Mekanism items.
Items from other mods cannot be used as power sources.
Compatible Charging Targets
Targets are not limited to Mekanism.
Any item exposing a compatible energy capability may be charged, including compatible tools and equipment from other mods.
Source items are excluded from charging each other.
Filters and Priorities
Charging rules can match:
- Individual item IDs
mekanism:meka_tool - Entire mod namespaces
@mekanism - Item tags
#c:tools
Priority mode charges items according to your configured rules and slot category order.
Even mode distributes available energy between eligible targets.
Controls
Default keybinds:
- I — Open charger settings
- O — Toggle automatic charging
Both keybinds can be changed from Minecraft's Controls menu.
Automatic charging is disabled by default.
Commands
/mic status
/mic enable
/mic disable
/mic config
Server operators can also manage another player's charger state using the supported player arguments.
Requirements
- Minecraft 1.21.1

Mekanism is required on both the client and server.
Not Supported
The following are intentionally not supported:
- Using batteries from other mods as charging sources
- Curios or other accessory slots
These restrictions apply to sources and accessory slots only. Compatible energy items from other mods may still be charged when they are in supported vanilla inventory slots.
