Changelog
All notable changes to Mekanism Combining Factory Slot Addon are documented here. Environment for every release: Minecraft 1.21.1 · NeoForge 21.1.194+ · Mekanism 1.21.1-10.7.19+.
v1.1.0 — 2026-10-12
Added
- Extra Stack Upgrade now covers the presser and stamper families. Beyond the Combining Factory it can now be installed in the CNC Stamper, Stamping Factory, Presser and Pressing Factory — for both the Mekanism:More Machine and the Mekanism Extra implementations, at every tier.
- Install a whole stack in one go. Hold a stack of the Extra Stack Upgrade and shift + right-click a machine to install all of it at once; whatever the machine cannot take stays in your hand instead of vanishing.
Fixed
- The extra secondary-input row now actually appears in the machine menu.
It is appended at the
ConfigHolder#getSlots(null, ...)layer — the one the container really reads — and is gated to item-slot holders only. Previously the slots leaked into the energy container list, which is what made machines completely unopenable right after installing the upgrade (thousands ofClassCastExceptionfrom Mekanism's energy capability, surfacing through Jade and the GUI). - Even distribution covers the extra row. Vanilla Mekanism's
sortInventoryonly evens out the main inputs, so the new row never participated. Both factory families are now handled — Mekanism's viaFactorySortingMixin, Mekanism Extra's viaExtraFactorySortingMixin(Extra has its ownsortInventoryimplementation) — and row-slot listeners are wrapped withmarkAllMonitorsChangedso dropping items in triggers a re-sort. Distribution only writes to empty or same-item slots, preserves the total, and skips when already even. - Mekanism Extra pressing factory: its own two yellow input slots are usable again. The row slot used a single shared flag to decide who renders it, so the factory's native extra inputs ended up permanently hidden and refused insertion. Replaced with a three-state role.
- MekaJadeUpgrades compatibility. Jade's upgrade tooltip rendered a barrier (red circle-slash) icon for this addon's upgrades because the provider only knew the seven vanilla ones. It now renders the real upgrade items.
- Upgraded GUI layout. Content shifts down so the player inventory no longer covers the output
row — including Mek Energistics' replacement screens, whose container overrides
getInventoryYOffsetwithout calling super. - Author metadata is now consistently
elysiam2in both the build script and the mod descriptor.
Changed
- Installing upgrades by shortcut now consumes the whole held stack rather than a single item.
v1.0.1 — 2026-09-14
Fixed
- Re-uploaded the
combining_slot_upgradeitem texture (208 → 459 bytes) — the version shipped in the initial upload rendered incorrectly.
v1.0.0 — 2026-09-14
Initial release.
Added
- Combining Slot Upgrade — injects
COMBINING_SLOTSinto Mekanism's upgrade enum (yellow tier, max 1 per machine). Replaces the Combining Factory's single machine-wide yellow secondary input slot with one independent secondary input slot per process (Basic 3 / Advanced 5 / Elite 7 / Ultimate 9 processes). - Each process performs its own recipe lookup, cache validation and even-distribution sorting.
- Installable from the upgrade GUI or by sneak + right-clicking the machine with the item in hand.
- Removable; state persists with the block entity save.
- Mekanism Extra support (Absolute tier and above), Mek Energistics replacement-GUI support.
