Majestic 0.0.0-beta.21
Changed
- The Astral Altar destroys itself when the Warden falls. When the Warden dies, the altar that summoned it fills with smoke and soul fire for five seconds — a full-screen warning with a countdown — and then detonates in a 4-block radius sphere. It hurts and knocks back anyone still standing there (9 damage at the centre, less the further you are), so the warning is not decoration.
- The Warden's defeat is now permanent. The altar does not drop when it blows, so a Star Fragment can no longer be used to summon it again. The rest of the structure drops as normal rubble.
Fix
- A failed spell no longer locks your focus. If a cast did nothing (no target, for instance), the spell still went on cooldown. It now only starts its cooldown when the cast actually resolves.
- First Light is no longer granted for trying to use the focus — only for successfully casting a spell.
- Spell failure messages are now translated ("No target", "Not enough essence", remaining cooldown). Messages that are not translation keys are still shown as-is, so third-party spells keep working.
Technical Changes
- The altar's multiblock shape is now defined in a single place instead of being duplicated across three classes.
- Almanaq spell, ritual and research-node JSON is generated through
almanac_core's own codecs, so the schema is owned by the library and can no longer drift out of sync silently. - Removed unused code: two GeckoLib render base classes with no entities attached, an arena
SavedDatathat was never hooked up, an empty mob folder and an empty entity tag. - Renamed the overworld spawn modifier from
night_mobstooverworld_mobs: the name was misleading, since day/night is decided by each creature's own spawn rule, not by the biome modifier. - Spanish translation brought back in sync with English (77 keys, parity verified).
Note for server owners: the altar detonation is new and has only been verified on a dedicated server, not in a live playtest. If you already defeated the Warden in an existing world, that altar stays where it is — it only self-destructs for fights that happen after this update.
