Majestic Structures

Majestic Structures rebuilds the Overworld's vanilla structures in the Majestic style, starting with the mineshafts: the Order's old workings, dug by the creatures of the Majestic Bestiary. Every replacement can be switched off from the config.

What's new

v0.0.0-beta.6 - Mineshafts replaced from the first chunk

Fixed

  • In a brand new world the vanilla mineshafts were still generated. The takeover datapack was written into the world when the server started, which is after the world's datapacks had been discovered and the spawn chunks generated. It only took effect after a /reload or a restart, and the chunks already generated stayed vanilla (/locate returned minecraft:mineshaft). The takeover is now also registered as a mandatory server-data pack, generated from the config under config/majestic_structures/takeover_pack, which exists before the world loads.

Notes

  • Still reversible. Set replaceVanillaMineshafts to false and the pack is no longer registered. The pack lives in the config folder, not inside the mod's JAR.
  • alsoReplaceBadlandsMineshaft and depthOffset are applied to this pack on every launch.
  • Worlds created with an earlier beta keep the vanilla mineshafts already generated. Restart the world once and every new chunk uses ours.

Known issues

  • Still unverified in-game beyond a dedicated-server start that loads the pack.
  • A mineshaft sealed under solid rock is still unfixable in code; depthOffset is the lever.
